OCD & The Fear of Your Period! | Navigating OCD

Disclaimer: The content shared in this episode is based on personal experience and education and is not intended as medical advice. For so many people with OCD and anxiety, periods aren’t just uncomfortable or inconvenient, they can feel genuinely terrifying. Hormonal shifts can intensify intrusive thoughts, anxiety, rumination, low mood, and that horrible sense of “losing control” of your mind. And when you don’t understand what’s happening, it’s easy to start fearing your own body on top of your own thoughts. In this episode, I share my personal experience with period-related fear, how OCD can latch onto hormonal changes, and why this fear makes complete sense even though it feels so isolating. 💛 Work with me 1:2:1 (OCD coaching): https://www.navigatingocd.co.uk/webinars-T7xcS-qzGNF/p/11-ocd-recovery-coaching-session 📲 Follow me on Instagram for daily OCD recovery content: @navigating.ocd 🤍 Join us at the next Navigating OCD meetup: https://www.navigatingocd.co.uk/shop/p/navigating-ocd-meetup-day
