The New Adults SD podcast captures lively discussions of three teenage friends living in San Diego about their experiences and perspectives as new adults. The podcast focuses on various topics and challenges that all "new adults" encounter such as working, driving, school, and more. The New Adults are Laurel, Kaitlyn, and Grace. The host is Patrick Flanigan from the San Diego State University Digital Humanities Center.The idea for the podcast first began as a sound check by host Patrick Flanigan to test out new podcasting equipment. Patrick enlisted his daughter Grace and her two friends, Kaitlyn and Laurel, to just talk for 30 minutes. The podcasting experience was so fun and insightful for all involved, the idea of an ongoing series was embraced. Music provided by Punk Rock Drum Machine
