Welcome to the 6th episode of the first season of the podcast "No One Greater Than The Sum" In this episode we have as guests 2 educators Justin & Kherry, and we discuss their positions in the school system and what is being done to address the education and needs of our youth in that system.Also, we have excerpts from comedian Michael Che on the 1st and 2nd amendments to the constitution. Tho a little late this episode looks at a reason that may be associated with the failure of the democratic candidate to hold on to the critical demographic necessary for victory in the 2024 presidential election. Losing that demographic to either the republican party or indifference (noy voting at all)

In this episode we take a look at where black voters stand in this election cycle, and the view that the democratic party has of black men. Also, we review some of the issues that black voters have faced historically and the importance of their vote. We also feature part 1 of our interview with Stacey G. the founder and administrator of the Facebook group "Down Home Blues" on the importance of black voter turnout.

In this episode we chat with Beh-Vee who after retirement uprooted and moved from New York City to Atlanta Georgia. We'll look at her successes as well as the challenges faced in making the move. Guarantee that there will be some good information and things to do and not to do if you're planning such a change.

This show runs a little bit longer because we were having so much fun producing it. . . This episode will explore why men and women are not making a deeper dating connection over the internet. For the 60+ generation there are several issues at play on this topic; For the men:·        Men are the hunters, and hunting brings into play the 5 senses, sight, smell, taste, hearing and touch, internet dating nullifies at least 2 of those 5 senses, while he can see a picture or hear her over the phone, the more tactile senses are not engaged so he really doesn’t know the game that he has tracked down·         Men bait traps to capture their game, for example; dressing nicely, nice car, nice place for encounters. But over the internet most times men have to shoot their best shot too early on in the relationship because so much of the face to face interaction occurs virtually instead of one on one. Because of the above men grow to see women as “gold diggers” or as feeling entitled when they expect to be wined and dined at the highest level without contributing to the dating (mating) ritual. For the women:·        Women expect to be pursued, and valued as the prize that the men are chasing. However, without being face to face with the man, where they can show off their feminine wilds, that are used to attract the hunters, they expect that the interaction that happens online to be as effective as the missing tactile interaction. ·        When men start the conversation online with either their possessions or push the conversation towards sex too early in the interaction, they consider the man either centered on the wrong thing, or as being after only one thing.   With that being said, people 60 plus have a totally different expectation of the dating rituals than the younger generation. Because we grew up in a time where the most interactions in dating was up close and personal, and we are trying to replace that personal interaction with a more impersonal online ritual. It is a podcast that brings to light and addresses issues that are important to us, the black community that the main stream media fails to highlight or give a full picture of. I know that some of the cuts are a bit choppy or some of the music fade in / outs need to be cleaned up a bit, but that’s not what I want your feedback on. I would like your feedback on content, concept, and characterization of the podcast. Also, any ideas that you may have that would make for a better program. Thanks in advance.
