    I have spend the better part of 10 years working with primarily female nurses and I have remembered all of the stories. With that I've collected some ideas that I feel are often overlooked.This could be a guide for females into how males work, but the reality is it doesn't matter who you are (gender, race, and sexual orientation). These are a look into what I've gathered about people are how they interact.Part of this are personal stories, other parts are observations I've made on others.     This is the deepest episode I have recorded so far, because it's about as real as it gets.I discuss what it's like to work through the heaviest emotions in both medical and personal life. There are tears, there is a real look into where the mind goes.I talk about "the turtle defense" and how you can help those around you if they have a similar personality.I end the episode with a challenge to figure out how you feel in these moments and how you cope with them now. We all can be a better teammate to ourselves when we understand how we operate.This was a tough but necessary one!

    Part 2 of a deep dive into how to better your health as a healthcare worker. It's the new year but my goal isn't to give you fad ideas that don't last. Rather I want to give you small changes that will increase your longevity and performance forever. We are facing a crisis of burn out, and these are the areas that I feel we can all most improve. Health is hard, but it's really about the small steps forward that'll make you a better care provider, partner, parent, and person. This is the key for both you and for those around you. We are givers, so why not give to yourself. As always share with your friends, family and loved ones. I appreciate you all!

    I ask you to please seek help or call your local emergency services if you are struggling with mental health. There is options and although it's a long process it's worth it. We all want you here! This episode dives into how I cope with traumatic experiences in healthcare and why/how I feel these things happen. This is the side that exists on all levels in these careers but we turn a cold shoulder to it. Compartmentalizing works temporarily, but it is not the cure. Let's change the current and look out for each other. Check on your co workers and be someone that can be there. We all must take care of each other. Even the quiet and calm need support.
