From Radio to Real: Sharon Kelly on Caregiver Mental Health
Sharon Kelly spent 14 years in radio before the cost pushed her toward podcasting. Now the Chattanooga-based registered nurse runs an assisted living facility, an in-home personal care operation, and an adult day program, and uses her podcast to reach the caregivers nobody is talking to. At the Podcast Summit in Atlanta, she sits down with Peuge to talk about what it actually takes to be consistent as a solo podcaster, why community and accountability matter more than equipment, and why self-worth has to come before caregiving for anyone in service to others. Valerea has been to over 50 countries across six continents and she is just getting started. In Salvador, Brazil for a group trip, she sits down with Peuge to talk about what draws her back to places rooted in African heritage, why she came back to Brazil a second time, and what she tells people who think travel is not for them. Every Continent But One: Regina Jackson on 50 Years of Travel, Legacy, and Seeing the World With Your Own Eyes
On the final days of a group trip to Salvador, Brazil, Peuge finds exactly the kind of person On Location was built for: someone whose life story unfolds like a masterclass in service, curiosity, and the power of showing up somewhere new. Regina Jackson spent nearly 30 years running a youth development center, served as CEO of a national environmental health nonprofit, was appointed as Oakland's inaugural police commissioner and used that role to fire the police chief, received the President's Service Award, was named to Ebony's Power 100, and had a street named after her. She also climbed Mount Kilimanjaro on sabbatical, has been to South Africa six times, was given land in Cameroon after tracing her African ancestry, and is now on a book tour for her bestselling title Unleashed Potential, which just received a foreword from Steph Curry. She has been to every continent except Antarctica. She does not count countries because there are too many. But this conversation goes deeper than the resume. Regina talks about what it felt like to see the favelas of Salvador up close: the radical economic separation, the way families hold onto place-based identity across generations, and what that teaches you about home. She speaks about colorism in Brazil and the broader, painful work of cultural erasure. She shares how a month-long trip to Europe at 16, chosen by her mother as an alternative to a cotillion, bit her with a travel bug she has never recovered from. And she talks about how she has taken young people out of the country, convinced school districts to award high school credits for travel, and pushed parents not to let their own fear become a ceiling for their children's possibilities. Regina's message is simple and uncompromising: do not wait. The world is small if you are willing to step into it, and the best version of yourself is usually waiting somewhere you have never been. This is On Location. Real people, real places, real conversations. You Can't Build Wealth From a Sound Bite — Jeff the Wealth Builder on Closing the Gap
At the Podcast Summit in Atlanta, Peuge sits down with Jeff Moore — known as Jeff the Wealth Builder — a 26-year financial advisor and strategist on a mission to close the wealth gap in the Black community. Jeff breaks down why financial education can't be reduced to social media clips, how his podcast Money Mondays with Jeff connects listeners to nontraditional wealth-building strategies, and why order matters when it comes to wills, trusts, and protecting what you've built. From cash value life insurance to generational asset transfer, this is the kind of conversation that takes more than a minute — and that's exactly the point. Birthright — Nakeeba on Legacy, Family, and the Sound of Blaque Roots
At a Blaque Roots showcase in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn, Peuge connects with Nakeeba artist, mother, cultural carrier, and daughter of legendary reggae artist Sister Carol. What starts as a pre-show conversation becomes something much deeper: a meditation on birthright, legacy, and what it really means to step into a purpose that was being built before you arrived. Nakeeba talks about what it felt like to tour alongside her mother, the emotional weight of releasing their collaborative single Be Alone, and how over a decade of making music with Blaque Roots co-founder Mike Blaque finally crystallized into something intentional a sound that weaves reggae, hip hop, R&B, roots, Afrobeat, and culture into a unified perspective. She speaks about the Caribbean and African lineage that grounds their artistry, and why word, sound, and power isn't a style choice it's how they show up innately. But the conversation doesn't stop at music. Peuge asks what many people are thinking but rarely say out loud how do you manage raising artists, athletes, and children, continuing a musical legacy, and still show up whole? Nakeeba's answer is rooted: it's the village. She was raised by one, and now the village shows up for her every time. That communal investment, she says, is not just personal it's the work that has to be done. This is On Location. Real people, real places, real conversations. The World Is Waiting
On Location is what happens when an introvert decides to stop watching the world from the corner and actually step into it. Hosted by Peuge Benjamin of Atomics Travels, this series is built on one simple premise: the best conversations happen when you show up somewhere real and talk to the people already there. No studios. No pre-booked guests. No scripts. Just Peuge — traveling city to city, event to event — spotting interesting people and asking if they want to talk. From album releases in Brooklyn to podcast summits in Atlanta, investment conferences, and group trips abroad, every episode is a genuine, unplanned exchange with someone living their story in real time. On Location exists for anyone who's ever been curious about the world but wasn't sure what the experience would actually feel like — or who they'd meet along the way. The answer, more often than not, is that people are nicer than they look, if you approach them with openness. This is On Location. New people. New places. Real conversations. Let's ride.
