This week's guest is Julie Poppell, a middle school teacher at Whigham School who is retiring after 32 years with Grady County Schools, as a teacher at Whigham School, teaching all 32 years in the same classroom.

Meredith Mitchell is a 4th grade teacher at Southside Elementary. Meredith is Grady County Teacher of the Year. Meredith is also the Washington-Shiver Cheerleading Coach. During our snow days, Meredith sponsored online learning for students to keep their minds sharp during the unexpected vacation. Meredith shares her experiences a Grady County TOTY, explains her efforts online for students during our snow break and talks about the 2024-25 school year.

Dr. Cooper, Director of Social Services for Grady County Schools and Teresa Sigler-Director of Grady County Family Connections discuss May is Mental Health Awareness Month, including a Mental health Awareness program at Davis park on May 10 from 1;30-4 and "Be seen in Green" on Friday may 2.

Michael Best visits with Austin Harrell, a CHS teacher and the CHS Drama Coach. Mrs. Harrell shares the growth of the drama club, their accomplishments, which include winning back to back region One Act Play titles. Mrs. Harrell also previews the "Stage Makers" Spring production- "The Sound of Music" May 2-4.
