Our Generation

Hi! We are Jenica and Maya - two teens that talk a lot about youth culture and wellness (emphasis on “talk a lot”). We represent the podcast, “Our Generation”. The pressures of modern society stigmatize the ability for teenagers to openly speak about undiscussed topics that occur regularly. Our mission is to change that. From two young adults to the rest of the world, our goal is to both educate and empower our generation. We are excited to share our perspectives, journeys, and relatable experiences with you. Unlearning the System and the Real Lessons School Missed

Somewhere along the way, students lost an excitement for curiosity and education became a measure simply for grades and "success".We sat down with one of our former teachers to talk about how schools are becoming systems of generalization — and how we can rebuild a learning environment that values individuality, curiosity, and depth. It’s a real, honest conversation from both sides of the classroom — teacher and student — about what education should look like for our generation. We hope you enjoy!!Love,Our Generation
