Our Queer Maritimes

High school is a time when youth are learning how to interact with each other as young adults. This includes familial, romantic, sexual, and platonic relationships. For queer youth, these relationships can look different. So, when teaching about healthy relationships, educators need to tailor the lessons to youth from all walks of life. Gab Rogers taught about healthy relationships in the classroom and in the GSA room. Last summer, Alex sat down to talk to her about managing that responsibility.

Gab Rogers is a queer teacher in New Brunswick. For six years, she ran a high school GSA. Alex was in that GSA for four of those years.What does it take to run a Gender and Sexuality Alliance? What does the group look like?Last summer, Alex sat down with her to talk about that experience.

On Saturday, a Rally was planned to protest the Federal Liberal Government. This rally was being planned by known white supremacists. Alex heard about a counter protest and headed out to see.
