Parente’s Chatterbox Podcast
by Rob Parente
The Parente’s Chatterbox was an actual tavern in the city of Bayonne New Jersey. It was a popular fixture in town and served the local community for generations. It was owned and operated by my uncle Georgie …that would be of course, …Georgie Parente. Modest by all accounts, yes, but it was a gathering place. A place where locals gathered to shake off the worst of the workday; to have a cold beer and to chat about just about anything and everything, and….nothing.The things they were chatting about were almost certainly things of minor importance but it was important to them and that’s all that mattered. The Parente’s Chatterbox podcast brings back the spirit of those conversations which seemed to be of little consequence at the time the words were spoken but taught us the most important things about life.
