Patterns of Behavior

Patterns of Behavior is a podcast dedicated to examining the forces that shape how we think, feel, and act. Through theological, sociological, psychological, physiological, and metaphysical lenses, we explore the mechanisms behind modern patterns of behavior—particularly how hypersexuality, addiction, and disconnection have become so deeply woven into society. Featuring guests from academia and lived experience alike, this podcast looks inward to understand why we are the way we are—and what it might take to change.

Pilot - Learning is like "Drinking from the Fire Hose."

In this pilot episode of Patterns of Behavior, we explore learning through a different lens—how modern education has shifted from deep, functional understanding toward memorization and information overload, my teacher often described it as “drinking from the fire hose.” The episode begins with a simple breathing exercise to invite a more intentional way of engaging with the conversation, rather than consuming it as background noise. In this pilot episode, my goal is to introduce everyone a little bit of what is to be expected throughout this project. There are some topics that will be talked about through this podcast that could be triggering, confrontational, or frankly you may not like them, but I will do my best to give that "warning."  Books Mentioned The Farther Reaches of Human Nature — Abraham Maslow To Have or To Be? — Erich Fromm Learn More To explore the full project, upcoming events, and other work connected to this podcast, visit noteverythingmatters.com.
