People of the Sun: Aztec Mythology

Welcome to an introduction to Pre-Columbian Mesoamerican Mythology in the form of stories that have been told since the time before the Spanish conquest. These stories have been preserved through oral historians and Spanish codices.Indigenous Mesoamerican Folklore is naturally intense, but the stories I have collaborated together for this podcast have been toned down for today’s time period. The violent nature of these stories reflects the time and culture they come from. It was admired to sacrifice for the greater good.Ignorance mostly destroyed the Ancient Indigenous culture and I aim to preserve what is left of these mythological stories. If you have enjoyed my series, please support me by getting a copy of my book on Amazon titled People of the Sun: Aztec Mythology for Children https://iplogger.com/2SWJx4All of the stories that have been told in this series can be found in my book.
