PH of Jiu Jitsu #18 - Life Gets in the Way
It has been almost a month since the last episode. I'm back with some news, thoughts and reflections over that time. I also dig into what "Life gets in the way" means to me and maybe a way or two to look at it less as a negative and more as a motivation. I appreciate getting the opportunity to make your morning class. If you want to check them out, go to https://teamnogueiradubai.com/ Quintet was a good experience and I do hope to check out another team like event somewhere down the road. Mindset is the word of the week. It is easy to get into your own head. We are often our own worst enemies. This past week, I ran into going down that slippery slope after a challenging King of the Guard practice. While I did make some mechanical mistakes, the big obstacle to my success was me. Listen into my thoughts about the whole thing and hopefully you can relate to the struggle. Also, I give a big shout out to Kristy, Katie and Tayla as they put out new episodes of their show, Grips and Grit: The Girls' Guide to Jiu Jitsu. Find them on youtube by following this link I look forward to talking to you next week after my trip to Destin, Florida to attend the 1st Emerald Coast BJJ Retreat with Professors Carlos Diaz, Mike Diaz and Jeff Curran.Thank you for listening.
