    BODY COUNT

Body count. The manosphere's favorite way to determine a woman's worth. Traditional voices argue female sexual history is a legitimate red flag - damaged pair bonding, poor impulse control, higher divorce risk. Progressive voices argue it's the most transparent double standard in gender discourse - men celebrating their own promiscuity while demanding women remain pure reveals this was never about science or relationships. It was always about control. Both can't be right. We put both in The Ring to see what survives. "But if the roles were reversed!"

"Oh, but if the roles were reversed" Is it a valid observation of hypocrisy, or is it a false equivalence that ignores context? Traditional voices argue it's the most basic check for double standards - if we're pursuing equality, identical behaviors should receive identical responses, but they don't. Progressive voices argue the opposite - that power dynamics, historical oppression, and statistical threat levels make superficially identical actions fundamentally different. Both can't be right. We steelman each position, then subject them to questioning to see which arguments actually hold up. 'Providers & Protectors'

"Provider and protector" - ideal purpose for men or a utilitarian trap? Traditional voices argue men need these roles as cultural ideals to channel energy toward service and combat the male identity crisis. Progressive voices argue if your worth depends on what you provide or protect, you're not a person - you're a tool that gets discarded when broken. "Homophobia is so Gay"

Is homophobia about values or just fear? Traditional voices argue there's a legitimate difference between disagreeing with homosexuality and hating gay people - that promoting the nuclear family and traditional roles isn't bigotry, and that religious teaching on sin is loving, not hateful. Progressive voices argue the opposite - that homophobia is the enforcement mechanism keeping men emotionally stunted and hollow, and that men obsessed with policing what's "gay" are trapped by their own insecurity. Both can't be right. Traditional Steelman: Charlie Progressive Steelman: Dash We put both in The Ring to see what survives. "Check your Privilege"

Episode 004 | Phallacies Podcast "Check your privilege" - is it necessary awareness or the death of productive conversation? Traditional voices argue it's become a debate-ending accusation that judges arguments by identity rather than merit. Progressive voices argue it's asking people to recognize advantages they didn't earn and can't see without examination. Male Loneliness 'Epidemic'

Episode 003 | Phallacies Podcast Men are lonelier than ever - or are they just finally noticing what women have been telling them for decades? Traditional voices argue male loneliness is a genuine epidemic: fewer friends, weaker social bonds, isolation killing men. Progressive voices argue men manufactured their own crisis by building masculinity norms that prevent vulnerability, and now want sympathy while doing nothing to change. Charlie steel-mans the traditional position, Dash steel-mans the progressive take. We put both in The Ring to see what survives. 'Alphas & Betas'

Episode 002 | Phallacies PodcastDoes the Alpha/Beta frameworks help or hurt men? Traditional voices argue that embracing hierarchies and ranking helps motivate men to get better and gives them a rubric of what to do or what not to do. Progressive voices argue the opposite - that most of life is collaborative, not competitive, so approaching life in that way manufactures unnecessary shame for those who aren't at the top of a few arbitrary metrics. Both can't be right. We steel-man each position, then subject them to questioning to see which arguments actually hold up. Welcome to the Phallacies Podcast. Is it important to define what a man is?

Episode 001 | Phallacies PodcastDoes defining "what is a man" help or hurt men? Traditional voices argue clear definitions are essential - without them, language breaks down and we can't organize society or address men's issues. Progressive voices argue the opposite - that obsessing over who counts as a "real man" creates more problems than it solves. Both can't be right. We steel-man each position, then subject them to a basic line of questioning in 'The Ring'. To see which arguments actually hold up...Welcome to the Phallacies Podcast.
