Phreak's Bedtime Stories
by Everyday Heroes
Welcome to Phreak’s Bedtime Stories. Same voice from Two Brothers Two Agendas, but this time I'm going deeper, slower, and meaner. These aren’t cozy tales. They’re the stories you thought you knew, stripped down to the bones and told the way they probably happened when nobody was watching. Each episode is a standalone descent, built like a lullaby with teeth: cinematic, intimate, and just pretty enough to make you lower your guard. Then it follows you into the dark. If you like your storytelling dark and unapologetically unsettling, hit play. Just don’t pretend you're listening "to relax".

EP27- What They Made Of Them
They met before the world taught them what they were supposed to hate. One was raised behind fences and trained to obey. One was raised in the wild and trained to survive. In this brutal reimagining of The Fox and the Hound, friendship is twisted into something far darker: a story of loyalty, fear, ownership, and the violence people call “nature” when they don’t want to admit they built it themselves. Some bonds outlive blood. Some wounds do too.

EP26- The Spotless Castle
What if the cleanest soul in the castle was the cruelest?Tonight on Phreak’s Bedtime Stories, a filthy little children’s tale gets dragged into the tub and drowned. Kritter Castle is choking on broken bottles, sour spills, mold, and years of neglect... until Bangalee finally gets his chance to make it spotless. But when the Grunk comes sniffing at the gates, cleanup turns into sacrifice, and the road to a perfect home is paved with blood, teeth, and betrayal. This is The Spotless Castle.

EP25- The Burrow Below
A woman follows the sound of frantic ticking into a Wonderland that feels wrong from the first breath. In this episode of Phreak’s Bedtime Stories, Phreak drags Alice into a drug-soaked underworld of poisoned tea, painted roses, grinning predators, and a red queen with a taste for obedience. Dream, breakdown, or something far more real, The Burrow Below is a brutal descent into a place that doesn’t let go clean.

EP24- The Last Warmth
This week on Phreak’s Bedtime Stories, The Little Match Girl becomes a brutal winter horror story of starvation, false comfort, and the terrifying possibility that not every vision in the dark comes to save you. A stove. A feast. A glowing tree. A dead grandmother with open arms. And something behind it all, waiting for the last of her warmth to leave.

EP23- The Soft Thing
A beloved toy. A childhood illness. A bedtime story people keep insisting is sweet. In The Soft Thing, Phreak takes The Velveteen Rabbit back to where it always should’ve lived: fever rooms, quarantine piles, nursery shadows, and the kind of love that rots into possession. Because not every cherished thing wants to become real... some just want to be held again.

EP22- The Steps That Followed
A girl finds the perfect red shoes, and the universe does what it does best: turns a harmless want into a full-body nightmare. In this episode of Phreak’s Bedtime Stories, beauty becomes bait, the music won’t stop, and the night keeps score one step at a time. Try not to get attached to anything that fits too well.

EP21- Pixie Dust
A shimmer on the windowsill. A metallic taste you can’t explain. A laugh in the dark that’s a little too small to be human. In Pixie Dust, Phreak drags a “never grow up” fairy tale back to where it belongs: the teeth. This isn’t magic, it’s a harvest—and once the Bright Place learns your name, it doesn’t need an invitation. When you're done, check out Meditation for Monsters! EP20- Midnight Collection
You know the story: ash, a ball, a glass slipper, a prince, and a happy ending. Tonight, we ruin that. In this version, magic isn’t a gift, it’s a contract. Beauty isn’t salvation, it’s a lease. And midnight isn’t a curfew, it’s collection. Welcome to Cinderella the way it was always meant to feel: claustrophobic, predatory, and soaked in the kind of horror that smiles politely while it tightens the glass. And while you're at it, check out Meditation for Monsters!https://open.spotify.com/show/25yBvxcdJXq1W5nkLow6TG?si=68e28a61f99d4048

EP19- Seven Rules
A warm cottage in a cold forest. A pot that never stops simmering. A mine that hums like it’s keeping itself entertained. In this Bedtime Story, the “miracle” isn’t magic, it’s a system: seven small wardens who learned how to survive by feeding the thing in the hill. The desperate stumble in, the hungry get tucked into clean beds, and the hopeful follow lantern-light into tunnels that were built to collect. Carved into stone are Seven Rules. Break one, and the mine decides what it wants from you, not with chaos, but with clean, practiced precision. No princess. No kiss. Just a fairy tale about comfort as bait, labor as ritual, and the kind of hunger that doesn’t stop when the bowl is empty. And while you're at it, check out Meditation for Monsters!https://open.spotify.com/show/25yBvxcdJXq1W5nkLow6TG?si=68e28a61f99d4048

EP18- The Piper's Debt
A town drowning in rats makes a promise it never intends to keep, and a stranger with a flute answers like he’s been waiting for the words to be spoken out loud. In this episode of Phreak’s Bedtime Stories, a “classic” fairy tale turns into a lesson about relief that comes too easily and debts that don’t accept excuses. Because when you treat your word like it’s flexible, the bill doesn’t disappear… it just shows up in a currency you can’t pay.

EP17- The Black Book
A desperate girl. A king with a deadline. A room full of straw and the kind of panic that makes you sign anything. When a small stranger offers a miracle, the price isn’t gold, blood, or a firstborn the way the old story says. It’s worse. It’s the first claim. The handle on your soul. The thing people use to move you without asking: your name. In this twisted bedtime version of the classic bargain tale, you’ll follow a queen racing against an invisible ledger, where words become contracts and identity gets collected like debt.

EP16- House of Hunger
They weren’t lost. They were offered. When hunger turns a home into a math problem, the woods become a graveyard with open doors. And deep inside the trees, something is waiting in a candy coat, feeding on desperation and calling it comfort. Welcome to the House of Hunger… where the warmest light is the one that wants you closest.

EP15- A Carved Heart
The house is quiet. That’s when the lies start. In this twisted bedtime story, a wooden boy is born from desperation… and every lie he tells makes him stronger. Sharper. Hungrier. The kind of hungry that doesn’t stop at getting what it wants. The kind that takes what it needs. If you hear tapping tonight, don’t call it the wind. It’s your wish… coming back to collect.

EP14- The Heartseed
Some fairy tales aren’t meant to be told. They’re meant to warn. Tonight’s story starts with a mail-order miracle: a seed, a pot of dark soil, and the promise of a tiny companion grown from a blossom. But when the flower opens, a woman learns the difference between small and safe. Because the thing she grows doesn’t want affection. It wants warmth. It wants space. And it wants to turn a quiet home into something cultivated… from the inside.

EP13- Just Right
They told you it was harmless. A cozy cottage in the woods and a lesson about being polite. But the version you remember was sanded down for bedtime. In this episode of Phreak’s Bedtime Stories, we follow a lost girl into a house built on threes and teaches the real moral: the woods don’t care that you’re cold, comfort can be weaponized, and some places don’t exist to shelter you. They exist to correct you. Kill the lights, check the locks… and don’t trust anything that feels “just right.”

EP12- The Wolve's Errand
A village once made a bargain with the forest, and a girl in a red hood has been walking the path ever since, carrying a basket that never seems to come back quite as empty as it should. Some say she still visits the edge of modern roads, waiting for doors to unlock and engines to stall, looking for the ones the dark has already chosen. In this episode of Phreak’s Bedtime Stories, we follow the trail she’s left behind and ask a quiet question with an ugly answer: are you the one hearing the legend… or the one being delivered?

EP11- Redline
Forget the cute Christmas special. This Phreak’s Bedtime Story rewrites Rudolph as an ancient winter entity with a glowing mark and a long memory, buried under decades of songs and merch. When a modern town turns his name into a joke, the red light in the sky pauses over their roofs and begins a quiet, brutal reckoning.

EP10- The Recipe
A “no-fail” gingerbread recipe hits a dying town, promising perfect houses that never collapse. All it asks in return is a little “personal binding” from the baker: a drop of blood, a hair, a tear. When the cookie people that look just like their makers start breaking, moving, and surviving the trash, the town realizes the houses were never meant to be eaten. They were meant to remember.

EP9- The White Hollows
When the worst winter in living memory buries a valley in silence, the snow doesn’t just fall – it stands up. Overnight, seven-foot faceless figures appear in every yard, with no footprints leading to them and every smooth white head tilted toward a house. As the storm cuts the town off from the world, people and animals begin to vanish, the snowmen grow heavier and more human, and the thaw reveals what the cold was really building inside those hollow bodies.

EP8- The Little Watcher
Christmas doesn’t always start with carols and cocoa- sometimes it starts with missing kids and blood in the snow. When a wave of disappearances hits town, every case has one thing in common: a grinning little elf on a shelf that won’t stay put. As bodies show up gutted like decorations and children begin to act like they’re taking orders from something on the mantle, the town learns the hard way that the elves aren’t watching for Santa… they’re making a list of their own.

EP7- Silence In The Flute
The sheep don’t blink anymore, and the grass never stops breathing. A boy in a blue coat plays a flute carved from someone’s missing mouth, and the sound pulls children into the dark like threads through a needle. The village left, but the field didn’t. Now it waits — hungry, listening — for the next voice foolish enough to make a sound.

EP6- La Basier du Sommeil
In the forgotten valley of Val-de-Sommeil, a noble girl falls into a sleep so polite it outlasts her heartbeat — and the world learns that mercy can rot. The house begins to breathe, the walls remember her name, and the living line up to be forgiven. But forgiveness has rules, and every rule has teeth.Welcome to La Baiser du Sommeil— The Kiss of Sleep—where fairy tales don’t end with love’s first kiss… they begin with its last breath.

EP5- The Typhoon's Smile
The sea hums in seven notes, and the locals know better than to sing back. Once, a mermaid traded her voice for legs and a wedding dress. Now, she builds cathedrals of bone beneath the waves and sets the table for whoever listens. Teeth wash ashore like offerings. Drains whisper lullabies. And every love story ends the same way—arranged, smiling, and waiting for the tide.

EP4- He Who Sits
They said it was just a statue—stone and story, something thatwatched the graveyard and nothing more. But the children stopped coming home, the ground began to bleed, and the wall started to breathe. When the gravedigger’s daughter finally saw it move, she realized the truth too late.Because not everything that cracks is broken. Some things are hungry.Welcome to Phreak’s Bedtime Stories.

Inside waits a woman—beautiful, unaged, and waiting for someone new to love her.Step inside if you must. She’ll smile. She’ll ask if you’re tired. And when you say yes… the house will inhale. This is Phreak's Bedtime Stories.
