Pouring Over
by Superbly Done
A podcast for anyone interested in the history and culture of their favourite tipple. Ever wondered what’s actually in your glass, who makes it, why it tastes the way it does, and where it comes from? Well cheers to that! For both consumers and the industry itself, Pouring Over uses immersive sound and storytelling, and features interviews from producers, bartenders, historians, journalists and brands.Made by Elizabeth Hotson and Sarah Treanor, who first worked together in 2008 on lonely overnight shifts in the BBC’s television centre producing the Today programme and 5Live business news. They hit it off, and one of their favourite conversations revolved around high-end drinks - cocktail bars and what makes a nice whisky taste so good. With over forty years combined experience as audio journalists, Elizabeth and Sarah have worked together on dozens of shows for the BBC - producing, presenting and editing as a team. Pouring Over is a Superbly Done production.
