Simplicity of Stuff
“There are two ways to get enough. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.” - G.K. ChestertonWe live in a unique historical moment, where many of us can acquire most of the things we want. We might not think that our "stuff" has spiritual implications, but Jesus says otherwise. Simplicity: Healing is in the Margins

But is that how life was meant to be lived? Jesus lived a life of great purpose and intentionality. Yet, he also withdrew from fast-paced, busy moments to abide with the Father. One of the most underrated contributed to our stress, anger, and anxiety is our schedules. Life lived at 100% capacity leaves no room for rest, or even divine interruptions.Brad referenced the "Ideal Calendar" as a resource to help you make what matters most, matter most. Contrary to our instincts and cultural consumerism - simplicity isn't a way to minimize joy, but rather a way to maximize joy.

What Is the Bible?
Humans crave information. We want to be known and be in the know. This begs a question: Is it possible, that this innate sense of curiosity is there because we were created in the image of God? Is it possible that stamped into our souls is a desire to know what is beyond ourselves – principally to know God? And if this is true (and I believe it is) how do we know God? How do we know what God is like? We’re going to explore those questions in this episode of Practicing the Practices.
