    Developing Professional Confidence: Personal Stories & Practical Tools - Social Networking Hour

    Ever wonder how your mentors developed their professional confidence? Listen to this panel between early and established MD and PhD researchers in KUH Fields at Tulane University. Their candid discussion of where they are now and advice to trainees and early career scientists provides a great opportunity to learn how to advance your career and improve your day to day confidence. Each panelist provides unique insight into progressing careers in KUH community and beyond.

    Scientific Publishing and Reviewing

    A conversation between Dr. Bryan Becker and Dr. Gopal Badlani. Dr. Becker is an assistant professor in the division of nephrology at UAB and the leader of the iSMART initiative in KUH PRIME, which trains scholars in manuscript and grant reviewing. Dr. Gobal Badlani is editor emeritus of the Journal of Endourology and professor of Urology at Wake Forest University. He was incredibly generous to speak with Dr. Becker one-on-one via Zoom and provide unique insight into manuscript writing and reviewing that is incredibly valuable to those in the KUH community and beyond.

    Engaging in Research in Industry - Conversation with Dr. Erik Schwiebert, Southern Research

    We are pleased to be providing a conversation with Dr. Erik Schwiebert from Southern Research. Dr. Schwiebert (he prefers to be called Erik) and I met at the Annual KUH PRIME Symposium in January 2025. We discussed the work of Southern Research, opportunities for scholars to enter the industry workplace, ways to partner in research, and what he sees as the future of Southern Research's Station 41 and collaborations with scholar and faculty researchers. Music: Aftertune - Smile from soundcloud
