Daniel Bezemer and his friend Brandon Fernandez admitted to the strangulation and murder of Justine Vanderschoot in 2003. In 2005, Bezemer received a sentence of 25 years to life and Fernandez received a sentence of 15 years to life.

The Keddie murders are an unsolved quadruple homicide that occurred over the night of April 11–12, 1981 in the small railroad town of Keddie, California in the United States. Evelyn Hernandez was a 24 year old woman who was due to give birth in a week who was last seen alive on May 1st 2002 with her 5 year old son, Alexis. "Fuller was found dead in an automobile parked outside his Hollywood apartment.[1] The Los Angeles deputy medical examiner, Jerry Nelson, performed the autopsy. According to Dean Kuipers:[7] "The report states that Bobby's face, chest, and side were covered in 'petechial hemorrhages,' probably caused by gasoline vapors and the summer heat.
