QnA with Friends: Tue Henriksen on Rust in Embedded Systems, Misconceptions, & Building Community

Kicking off 2025 with a new episode of QnA with Friends! Back in 2024, I had the chance to sit down with Tue Henriksen, an embedded systems expert who’s been a driving force behind the Rust Aarhus community. I first discovered Tue through the This Week in Rust newsletter when I came across an article about how he had started the Rust Aarhus community. As someone who co-organizes a Rust community in Tbilisi, I became really curious to learn more about his journey (and I take you along the journey too)! We discussed what drew him to Rust, the ins and outs of embedded systems, and some common misconceptions about embedded Rust programming. We also talked about his role in organizing Rust Aarhus and how local meetups are valuable for creating Rust community in Denmark. Grab a coffee (or tea, if you’re like me!) and join us for a fun conversation!
