Start Talking: Real Talk about Getting it Out
Today we're talking about talking. The energy of GETTING IT OUT is something that I think that we've lost. Instead of picking up the phone to call iyour girlfriend, we text. So that energy and your voice doesn't move it OUT. Talking, singing, screaming, when you're by yourself in your car, that moves that energy. And that's something I think that we need to really remember, so we're going to talk about it today. Let's get started. I'm so glad you're here. Topics Discussed: Texting doesn't move the energy OUT. Talk to yourself in the forest. The trees are the best listeners. Bad things happen when you hold it all in. For me, my facial paralysis "happened". Whether you're coaching an NBA basketball team or just two small kids in your living room, your contribution matters. If you have a calling or that small tug in your heart, it's there for a reason. I do know for sure that when I keep quiet and I don't talk, I feel like I'm going crazy inside. So let's start talking a lot more. Did you like this episode? High Vibes: Real Talk about Energy vs. Feelings
Today we're talking about high vibes. And here's the thing: you don't need to be "happy" to be in a high vibrational state. You can be aligned without being on cloud 9. I feel like we spend so much time chasing being "happy" that we lose focus of what alignment looks like. Let's get started. I'm so glad you're here. Topics Discussed: High vibration ≠ happiness. You can be in a high-vibe, aligned state without being happy. Chasing happiness isn't the goal; focusing on alignment is. Your circumstances don't control your vibration. Even if you're not in your dream job or life situation, you can choose how you feel and start living as if you're already there. Neuroplasticity & manifestation. The brain can't always distinguish between what's real and what's imagined, so align your feelings now with the future you want. Vibration is about how you feel, not what you have. True success is measured by internal joy, not external achievements or money. Low-vibe energy isn't just negativity, it's misalignment. Baby steps are enough. Reach for the next best feeling, not perfection. You don't need to change everything overnight, you just need to raise your state a little at a time. Did you like this episode? It's My Birthday: Real Talk about Doing the Hard Stuff First
Guess what.. it was my birthday this week and I turned 45. I'm now in Chapter 45 of this crazy life and I'm going to make it the best year yet. I think that for the first half of our lives, we collect lessons and things along the way, and then what really matters is what we do with all that during the second part. For me, I am going to talk about it and share. Because like I will tell you about in this episode, I'm pretty sure my calling is never to be a football quarterback. But using my voice to make you feel like YOU matter too, and that your dreams are important, is what I am meant do. Let's get started. I'm so glad you're here Xo Did you like this episode? Hang Out with Winners: Real Talk about Why Your Circle Matters
Let's talk about hanging out with winners. People who make you feel BETTER when you leave them than when you walked in. Did you know that just being AROUND high performers increases your chance of performing higher? It's a thing. And I have noticed it in real life. Theres NOOOOOO point in spending your days not heading in the direction you want to be going in. Time to focus on you. Let's get started. I'm so glad you're here Xo Topics Discussed: Hang out with people who don't just talk the talk. If you want to be a lawyer, find them on a Friday night. Get in the winning energy, be a winner. "As you start to walk on the way, the way appears" - Rumi You have control over a lot of things, if you choose to. Did you like this episode? Why NOT You?: Real Talk about Why Your Dreams Matter
Let's talk about you. Why not you? There is no real reason it can't happen for you too. And no matter what excuses, negative thoughts or stops at the procrastination station you can come up with, you deserve your dreams just as much as anyone else. But here's the thing. You have to do the real work. The messy, face your own stuff kind of work. Because only AFTER that happens, that's when the good stuff shows up. Time to believe in yourself as much as I believe in you. Let's get started. I'm so glad you're here Xo Topics Discussed: You are just as capable, beautiful and deserving as anyone else. Figure it out as you go, you don't have to be perfect. Your dreams don't have to take a back seat. Even if you just do an hour a week, that's 52 hours in the next year! Make it happen. Just because it's not all happening right now, doesn't mean it's not on the way. I'm best friends with Gary Vee now. At least I think it's him. We all learned a lot in 2024. 2025 is time to make it happen. Let's do it together. Did you like this episode? Perfect Isn't a Thing: Real Talk about Getting Over It
Today we're talking about how Perfect DOESN'T EXIST. It's literally not a thing. So why do we spend so much time chasing after it, trying to be it, to smile and fake it? Look around at the people you follow and admire. Are they perfect? No way. They try new things, put themselves out there, and make mistakes. I GUARANTEE they don't give off that "perfect illusion". Perfect isn't a thing. If it were, it would be boring anyway. And I definitely don't like hanging out with boring people, no thanks. Let's get started. I'm so glad you're here. Topics Discussed: Stephen Hawkings is a pretty smart guy We get to define our own lives We use other people as an excuse to not get started The mean girls don't matter Perfect is boring anyway Did you like this episode? Start by STARTING: Real Talk about Trusting Yourself and Jumping In
Today we're talking about how to get started. When you have a dream, a project or a task that seems just SO big you don't even know where to begin. When the fear, the dreaded imposter syndrome or the overwhelm sets in, the way to do it is to START BY STARTING. Get things set up the best you can, then trust in yourself and jump in with two feet because you deserve to be happy, and you deserve to bet on yourself. Topics Discussed: About the Real Talk with Barbie Podcast The 3 Reasons we don't get started - fear, fear and fear Our brains always try to keep us safe and a tip to train yours to be brave If you are an apple, don't compare yourself to a carrot Getting it done, is better than making it perfect Look around at who you follow and who you look up to and I guarantee you, they are doing brave things, whether that is learning a new language or building empires, being themselves and taking action. Now that I have started this ball rolling, I'll be back each week. Thank you so much for listening to the end. I would love to hear your feedback and especially know if I made you laugh! I can't wait to do it again.
