    On Being Vulnerable

Vulnerability is at that strange intersection of something that we crave from others, yet forget to offer ourselves. Vulnerability takes courage, and yet I find it's always something I admire when I get it from someone else. Why do I so readily forget to be vulnerable myself when the opportunity presents itself, even though I know concretely that it's what I want others to be with me?Tell me about what you're going through by visiting my website and sending me a message: https://rejectdefeat.stasio.works/#contact

    Patch the Leak

I started this one by exploring a recent self-discovery in regard to my nihilistic tendency. By default, without any intervention, I tend to view things as futile. Well, years and years of living this way have gone by, and I can tell you that the result of it has been misery. And so on this episode, I'm just trying to articulate the benefits that having a bit of optimism has had on my mental health. It wasn't an easy thing to discover, because I didn't know to look for it for a long time, but once I found the leak, it was a simple patch job.Audio from this episode taken from the following sources:- Young People: Reject Nihilism (feat. The Hurdles of Actually Actualizing

We're getting an education together, today. Self-Actualizing. This is what I've been pursuing, semi-unknowingly. It's frankly what anyone is pursuing, when they're looking at impedances in their life, and doing something about them. But the hurdles are important to acknowledge. Self-help content sometimes will tell us to bulldoze the hurdles, or alpha-male our way past them. I've found that advice deeply unhelpful. And while, as always, I'm not promising advice here, I will say I'm thinking about these things as a student first, and not a teacher. And so I hope that my musings, because I need them to work for me first, will also mean something to you.Today's audio clip was taken from "Why Maslow's Hierarchy Of Needs Matters", by the School of Life on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L0PKWTta7lUTell me about what you're going through by visiting my website and sending me a message: https://rejectdefeat.stasio.works/#contact

Intuition and Listening to the Sirens

The voice in our head is more than likely an ally, less so a nag. I'm not sure yet whether I should be listening to every single voice in my head, every single instinct, but I think the louder they are, and more consistent, the harder to ignore they become.Featured: Steven Spielberg on following your intuition — https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iX11qgYyxUUMusic by Universfield from Pixabay — https://pixabay.com/users/universfield-28281460/Tell me about what you're going through by visiting my website and sending me a message: https://rejectdefeat.stasio.works/#contact

    Inertia

Objects in motion tend to stay in motion. What better way to apply Newton's First Law of Motion to my complacency, then to have MLK drive it home. Thanks for listening, and I hope you find the time today to start a little snowball of your own.Tell me about what you're going through by visiting my website and sending me a message: https://rejectdefeat.stasio.works/#contact
