Santa Bring Peace on Earth and a Couple of Toys

I wrote this song with hope for peace. My kids sang it with hope for peace and a couple of toys. The song features Matthew Archuleta on piano and Hayley, Justin, Trey, and Logan singing with all of their heart. My amazing wife, Mercy, provided lyrical and production tips that really brought the song to life. My daughter Cherie Smith created the beautiful painting used for the cover. I'm truly blessed.

I Wish The World Would Stop Spinning

Have you ever said the wrong thing, or just taken someone for granted? Suddenly, you realize what you’ve done but it’s too late to fix it. Or at least it feels like it’s too late. If only the world would stop spinning and give you a second to figure out what to do, what to say, how to get back home, back to into your love’s heart. It’s a desperate, confusing place to be. Sometimes it’s something big. Sometimes it’s something small, or a bunch of small things. Whatever it is, you try to find your way back home. You feel like you’re trying all alone and you just can’t make it. You wish the world would just stop spinning.

    My Friend Louis

I used to have a friend named Louis. He was the most laid back, chill person I had met. Nothing seemed to bother Louis. He always smiled and was always ready to hang out with his friends. Morning, noon, or midnight, Louis was ready to party or just sit and talk. I lost track of Louis over the years, but I've always wondered how his life turned out. He was cool, mellow, and he never tripped about dumb stuff. I never met anybody as chill as My Friend Louis. He don't care what people say. He's just happier that way. Well, Louis, now the world will here of your legendary ways.

I'll Be The Man Of The House

This song is sung by my kids. The song is about a young boy who wants his soldier Dad to know he will take care of his Mom and family until his Dad comes home. I wrote years ago as a tribute to our armed forces. My Dad is a soldier for the USA, And my Dad's coming home any day, Well Dad, I want you to know, That we're all real proud of you, Our soldiers, of the red, white, and blue, I'll be the man of the house, Until you come home, So don't worry about Mom, She's not alone, Just take of yourself, And remember that we love you, I'll be the man of the house, Until you come home...

    Someone Stole The Bride

This a fun song. Check out the lyrics, then listen to this great song. I sang at a wedding, the other day with my band, I knew the bride and groom real well, The groom was my friend and the bride was once my lover, But she made me swear I'd never tell, I never quite got over, The way we had to part, And she still has a place here in my heart, Well I guess I wasn't thinking, When I walked up on the stage, And I sang these words that tore the place apart, I sang, someone stole the bride, She should have married me, She only married him 'cause I wanted to be free, Someone stole the bride, And it hurts me deep inside, Because I know that she'd be mine if I'd only tried, Someone stole the bride, The crowd looked me over, And I wondered what to do, I knew that it was time for me to leave, The best man was running, Across the dance floor mighty fast, And the groom already had me by the sleeve, (Listen to the end of the song for the surprise ending)
