    S1E29 Unwanted Progression

This week we chat mostly about the progression of the cancer, and the side-effects of the treatments on the rest of Chris' body and mind.

  2. 31

    S1E28 Turbulence

We are back! After both of us had a busy few weeks, we finally caught up Thursday last week. We've been asking Chris for a while to recite some poetry; he can't recall things like he used to so was a bit reluctant, but we manage to get him to recite most of 2 of his favourite poems.Enjoy.

  3. 30

E27 Are the Jews really the baddies

This week, we talk about:the Tale of Two Headsa commentary on Israelprogress on helping the Peace of Mind Foundation

  4. 29

S1 E26 The Tale of Two Heads

We're back!!A combination of being away, and some busyness with that pesky work thing, has kept us from getting together for the last few weeks. This week we are really just doing "The Tale of Two Heads" as we rabbited on a bit long.

  5. 28

    S1E25 Mastery vs Competency

Yah. Pod loaded by Saturday this week. This week we review the federal election, and Chris is surprisingly ok with the result, and can see some positives. we also talk about mastery vs competency, particularly in a business situation, and the usual review of our f&&ed up heads. Oh, and I tell the joke this week so probably best to skip the last 2 minutes.

  6. 27

    S1E24 Brain Cancer Awareness Month

We recorded this one last Friday however one of us had a problem with our brain function which prevented it being published till today (following Wednesday) apologies to the rusted ons for the lack weekend listening material. This week we discuss Brain Cancer Awareness month. We also wade into the difference between how boys and girls manage problems (oh yes, we will likely upset somebody for sure)

  7. 26

    S1E23 Anzac Day Special

This week we pay our respect to all those who have fought, and some who have died, to give us the freedoms we enjoy. We also discuss what a meat chicken is, and get a little political.Enjoy

  8. 25

S1E22 Mental head giving mental health advice

This week we discuss mental health in more detail; particularly in light of some sobering news about how Arnie is refusing to do as he is told at present.

  9. 24

S1E21 Advice for those dating your 18yr old daughter

Edit.....posting originally Friday evening but we had some extra audio bits in it that shouldn't have been there.....took these out so if you are seeing this Saturday onwards, you won't hear this. This week's title may be a bit misleading; we did have it as a topic, but as the conversation paned out, we probably only spent 5-10 minutes on it.Instead, we talked mainly about Chris' latest scan, and the great work of the Peace of Mind Foundation, a brain cancer charity, set up to support cancer patients and their families. We were also joined by a good mate of ours, Megan, who chimed in with a few stories of her own.

Bonus - Teenage homophobe Ep20 feedback loop

For those who tried listening to this previously, I uploaded the Part 1 version against this one.....sorry.....this one is the one I should have posted. After Ep20 we were provided some feedback on our opinions. Rather than be worried about what people think, we are excited that this may be generating discussions amongst people about these important issues. Unfortunately we had to cut this chat short due to some other issues going on; it was originally going to be Ep21 but we decided rather than go back and finish it off properly (who the F does that??) we would just post it as a tack on to the Ep20 chat.

  11. 22

    S1E20 I was a teenage homophobe, and that's ok

Scheduling issues meant we didn't see each other till this morning, so its another late drop....apologies.This week we wade into water that could get both of us in trouble, however we think this is a conversation that many of us should be having across generations. Its really saying just because one generation thinks a certain way about different topics does not make them wrong....so a little care and tolerance is valuable.also, hang around till the very end.....might be a little surprise outtake as well.

  12. 21

S1E19 A little bit f%&#ed in the head

A tough week for Chris, meant we didn't do a specific topic this week. We simply chose to have a chat and see where that landed. Today was about the worst day in the chemo cycle; thankfully he should start to feel better over the next week.

  13. 20

    S1E18 The dick bites back

This week we are joined by our very first guest, the dick himself, Woody. (hehe)We get into the importance of not being a pushover pussy, and have a bit of fun examining Chris' trials and tribulations with the fairer sex.Enjoy.

  14. 19

S1E17 How to eat an elephant, figuratively!

This week we revisited our original notes from prior to starting the podcast. We bundled up a number of Chris' weird and wonderful thoughts on the world into one ep.We also find out that his brain can connect any topic to a blow job! And he tells us about Buddha's most famous saying which, by the way, everyone will be surprised how Buddha actually spoke back in the day.Enjoy.

  15. 18

    S1E16 Kids TV Part 2

After last week's F&%# up we return with a good sized chat about mainly TV shows we loved growing up, but also a bit of chat about movies as well.

  16. 17

    S1E15 Kids TV - Part 1

This week we recorded about an hour of conversation about TV shows we loved as kids and the shows our kids watched (and we loved just as much as them).Unfortunately, the technology gods decided that there was way too much perfect gold in what we were saying so they decided to "lose" half the episode to the ether.End result is we have about 15 minutes of us talking about ourselves, and another 15 about some of the TV we loved. We have decided this is a good topic that we could really do at least another hour on, so you will get part 2 next week.(bonus: my kids have been calling for a shorter ep length, so we get to satisfy them a little this week!!)

  17. 16

S1E14 Resilience or Harden the F up

This week we take the gloves off, and put a challenge to people to show a little more resilience, but more important ensure your children have it in spades. We also respond to some unkind feedback from a couple of regular listeners, who have suggested that we may have gone a little too PC in the last few weeks, and we are showing boring and wanker signs. I think it was the kick in the ass we needed....let us know what you think.

  18. 15

S1E13 The worst system of Government, apart from all the others that have been tried.

We decided that there isn't enough places where people can get information on how our system of government works. So this week we go through this. You will be surprised to hear that 90% of it is fairly non-partisan (a big feat for Chris) but he does manage to get the odd political view in there. Technical difficulties meant we had to go back and re-record half the episode, so our apologies for the late drop of this one. Hopefully we can get back to our regular Friday evening publication this week. Enjoy.

  19. 14

    S1E12 The Seinfeld Episode #1

The episode that we knew was coming, but hoped we might avoid on this journey. It's been a tough week for Chris. His chemo treatment has started to impact on him more, and so he really couldn't engage his brain this week to a specific topic. So we nearly decided to give this week a miss, but in the end, we decided a "Seinfeld" type episode, one about nothing in particular. So its just us chin wagging about the shite that came into our head today.

  20. 13

    S1E11 Stoic Philosophy

Didn't they just do this one? No, Stoic Philosophy is not Socratic Philosophy. One is the teachings of Socrates in particular, however Stoic philosophy is more targeted on you personally. For the most part, Chris explains the concept in detail, while Gary just tries to keep up and make it look like he knows more than you think. And apparently, Stoicism is back in vogue with the Millennials, so its taken 58 years but aparently Chris is part of something trendy in the world! Thanks again for listening.

  21. 12

S1E10 The Grip of the Grape

This week the boys delve into the topic of alcohol, and how it has had a grip on both of them at different times of their lives. There's a few sad stories, but also a few laughs about it as well.

  22. 11

S1E9 Christmas - Our Thoughts on the Season

This week we recorded on the 27th, just 2 days after Christmas. So we took the opportunity to consider what Christmas means to us, and the culture that exists around its traditions.

  23. 10

S1E8 Business Growth equals Personal Growth

This week we discuss how running a successful business is interlinked completely with your development as a person and a leader. We delve into our own business journeys and the realisation that we are much %$^@ smarter at this stuff now than when we started.......aaahhhhh why can't the universe work in reverse sometimes!

  24. 9

S1E7 - Socratic Philosophy - A irreverent look at the ancient Greeks

Subtitle: Socrates and other smart blokes. This week, Chris shares his love of history, and wants to remind us all that history is a great teacher and mentor for us all. Meanwhile, Gary just tries to follow along. Enjoy.

  25. 8

S1E6 Sexy Time - The Changing Nature of Sexual Relations

This week the boys delve into the evolution of sexuality in their lifetime; tell a few embarrassing stories of working it out; and try to remind young blokes that the things they see on porn videos is unlikely to be the way to approach their first sexy time session with a new date. It sounds like a scary one to hit play on, but its really no where near as risque as it looks; venture forward and enjoy!

  26. 7

S1E5 Conversations with God and other thoughts about religion

This week the boys give their thoughts on religion and faith.

  27. 6

S1E4 - Don't let your kids grow up to be someone you wouldn't like

This week the boys discuss their thoughts on good parenting, and raising kids that are good people.

  28. 5

S1E3 - The Multiplier Effect of Great Mentoring

The boys discuss their passion for mentoring others, be that in the workplace, on the cricket field, or just in the general journey of life. Positive mentoring makes significant impacts on the lives of those that receive it, and we hope this chat will encourage you to become a better mentor, or reach out to someone you know could help you. Enjoy.

  29. 4

BONUS - School Days Part 1

Suddenly they think they are media tarts!!! This one is a bit self indulgent, and will likely only appeal to those who went to school in the 80s with the boys. Potentially their loosest pod yet; perhaps their mums should steer clear of this one. (and a few of their mate's mums also)

  30. 3

S1E2 - Stop whinging, things have never been better....

This week, we tee off on the doomsayers who tell us everything is stuffed and the world will end soon because some bloke with orange skin just won an election. This is the greatest time in human history to be alive, and we only have to venture back to the past 50-100 years, to the time of our parents and grandparents to see how fantastic life is for most of us now. We also find out that Chris' has given his tumour a name now, and talks to 'Arnie' about how they best coexist. Also, if you get through to the end, you will hear a dad joke that is potentially worse than the one Gaz told last week, if that is even possible. Cheers for listening.

  31. 2

S1E1 - Our Dads - the good, the bad, the way it was.

We talk mainly about our own Dads on this chat; and delve into the things that we have taken from their dad journey. We were originally thinking we could do one ep on dads, but decided there was enough to chat about just talking about our own....we will revisit this topic no doubt in a later ep. By the way, we didn't start with our dads for any other reason than we thought it would be an easier topic, cos we clearly aren't competent at this podcast stuff at the moment. Unfortunately our potty mouths are still a bit too frequent, so don't listen if you don't think we should swear....we won't be offended if you don't listen; just don't be offended if you do!

  32. 1

S1E0 - The Test One - Lets start talking and see if this works

Why the f%&* are we doing this? Why now? What can people expect to hear in the week's to come. probably now for kid consumption, a bit of swearing and we do delve into topics that are perhaps best left for grown ups
