Julie
Julie ©Robert "Rocky" Brewer Julie are you home? It's Friday night. Let's get inside your car and drive, if that's alright. I want to see the lights of the city with you by my side. Julie and don't know why I'm so blue but we could find a world that we belong to. No more making coffee's, no more doing anything we don't want to do. It's our life and we'll live it. Make this song and we'll sing it until the end. We'll sing it till the end. Chorus: So, Julie. You're my favorite girl in the whole wide world. There's no-one I'd rather see. Oh, Julie. You make me feel it's okay to stop my life and just play. Oh, and we're okay. Julie I don't care about your messy room, your dodgy toilet, or your nasty broom, cause underneath the mess there's something beautiful in you. All the times you passed out on my floor from drinking so much beer that you couldn't walk next door. All the laughing, all the hopes and dreams we shared. It's our life and we'll live it. Make this song and we'll sing it until the end. We'll sing it till the end. Chorus No one plays the penny game like you. No one pulls off silver high heel shoes. No one naps more gracefully past noon. No one's better when it comes to pulling through. No one walks the walk as great as you. No one pays the bills as late, it's true. No one gives as much with regard to all the things in life we can't see through. Chorus It's our life and we'll live it. Make this song and we'll sing it. Until the end. Until the end.

The Silence
The silence - ©Robert "Rocky" Brewer Is it now, or will it be realized or guaranteed? Let’s read a book, and then we’ll forget the pages. Listen close, for it is told this story’s not too late or old. And It’s a truth that rings out across the ages. She gave you everything you have. Great river, mountain pass. Now she sings but you don’t hear at all. And whether right or wrong, dear, we will live or die here. Chorus: But all I hear is silence. In the distance echos fade away. I know they won’t return, babe. But you have to listen anyway. The tides may come, the seasons go, the wind may change, and you will know the time has come to finally put your armor down and breath again. All alone, fading slow. Final breath, she won’t let go. Let’s bite the hand that feeds us one more time. We’ll make a toast to greed and lies, a hundred promises denied, and a 4% increase this year. No more need to care at all, cause the world’s about to fall, and she’s far too tired to lift her head. And whether right or wrong, dear, we all lived and died here. But all she hears is silence, In the distance echos fade away and no they won’t return, babe. No one there to listen anyway. The tides they came, the seasons went, the wind did change, and we all went and all she needed was a little love so she could breath again. Is it just a story? Maybe there’s no need to worry. Let’s just go to sleep and dream our dreams. And she’ll always be there. Open arms and fresh air. Probably best we don’t do anything. Chorus

Get Back In Line
Get Back In Line ©Robert "Rocky" Brewer VERSE 1: Never want to play along. Never want to do the job. Never want to be the one to fuck it up and be all wrong. But I… I know a way. To betray that little bitch inside you. So settle down and just stay inside your shell all damn day. Until you feel this shock wave to take you to an early grave. CHORUS: All you have to do is get your shit together. Work hard and be better. Take this life for what it is. Put yourself out there and try to make the best of it. There are no excuses. Only bites and bruises. And if you’re waiting for a sign, you might as well get back in line. VERSE 2: Never want to take the blame. Always late and lacking shame. Drink and drive, adventure bound. Until you run a family down. But I… I know a way to escape that little twat inside you. CHORUS: All you have to do is get your shit together. Work hard and be better. Take this life for what it is. Put yourself out there and try to make the best of it. There are no excuses. Only bites and bruises. And if you’re waiting for a sign, you might as well get back in line.

Behind The Blue
Behind the Blue ©Robert "Rocky" Brewer I’ve been waiting for the stars to shine through the clouds but revelations don’t come easy and feel unavowed. Flowers planted in the garden can grow strong and tall but when you leave them unattended, the weeds take them all. I can see the truth inside you. It’s just beyond the blues of your eyes; of your smiles. Waiting patiently to break through; to wake you. I always wait till the morning to see but never ever changes. I’m screaming. CHORUS: Why did call my name if all you really wanted was somebody to blame? Oh, I am not the cure for your blindness. There’s no one else to blame for your timeless masquerade. All the words to break your armor just make you feel small and Though there’s truth to what I’m saying, you might as well be a wall. I can see the truth inside you. It hides behind tattoos of demise and disguise. Waiting patiently to snake through; to break you. I always wait till the evening to see but never ever changes. I’m screaming. CHORUS: Why did you stay same when all the arrows pointed in the opposite way? Oh, you were left to your own devices Nothing more to life than this priceless masquerade

Maze Rat
Maze Rat ©2020 Robert “Rocky” Brewer Just look me in the eye, and tell me one more lie. Then, maybe I can say goodbye And finally get on with my life. I don’t wish to be Led on endlessly I am not a game Or some dying flame You can say you’re right Kick and cry all night Take your so called love To the cliff and shove If you want to make it, maybe You should not be so damn shady High hope procrastination I’m not angry, I’m just sayin’ Needed something to rely on But you gave me silence and a yawn In the end I never guessed that I’d become a full blown maze rat Delay it one more day Maybe it will go away Procrastination in my face Respect and honor left no trace and Not the first and not the last To believe you’re better than that And now you watch me leaving What a shame this could have been amazing I don’t think you know How a flower grows This was not a test I gave you my best Now the cards are set And you’ve lost the bet Head down in my hands I had such great plans

Making Faces
Written with inspiration from the art supplies created by Jane Davenport. Verse 1: Late at night I can’t sleep I’ve been blocked, can’t create a thing. I’m sure that everything will be alright I shut my eyes, see a light in the dead of night. Running fast to catch it Find a door that’s made of matches. My magic wand has one last spark. Hold it up, let it fly and ignite the dark. Bridge 1: Give me Neon Queens in the magazines, It’s a golden age, a brand new page, I’m gonna Break free of the masquerade. Shipwrecked, trust the mess, I don’t need a thing. Sun bleached warm heart, noble red in hue. Warm seas, feel something building up in you, you’re gonna Break free of the rules tonight. Now your feathered friends are taking flight. Chorus 1: We are, making faces! No one can tell us what to do. See the light make it shine growing bright in you. And we are, young and ageless. I don’t need an invitation to Fall down the rabbit hole with you. Verse 2: Just beyond horizon A new dawn is rising. I want to see it come before I wake. Outcast, hold fast to the break of day. I can feel that time is slipping. Ruby red shoe heels are clicking. Small signs the night is almost through. Then I see you running past me and I know it’s true. Bridge 2: In a field of color green in hue, running fast as the wind, I’m catching up to you. Then you turn around and look my way. You say we’ll make it, it’s a brand new day. A celestial sky with your ocean eyes, Tin of glances with the tinsel lights, and we can Hardly wait to make a brand new start. It’s all around us like a work of art. Chorus 2: We are, making faces! No one can tell us who to be See the light make it shine growing bright in me. And we are, painting pages. I can see you’re making up the rules. When you dance with the danger, it’s incredible. Bridge Alt: As the dream is fading, The landscape’s reshaping. You stand there waving in the light. The sun finally breaks the skyline. A Rose empress shining bright. I’m No longer dreaming black and white. Bridge 3: Now the chilled out girls with the violet eyes, And a band of strangers riding high. We’re gonna take back the ice palaces. Make it rain, no one cares about the consequence Got my ripped up jeans and and a sword with rust. You don’t need degrees to hang with us, we’re gonna Stop time and watch the world begin. We’re gonna play it like a violin. Chorus 1: We are, making faces! No one can tell us what to do. See the light make it shine growing bright in you. And we are scales of laces. I don’t need an invitation to Fall down the rabbit hole with you. Chorus 2: We are, going places! No one can tell us who to be Take the light make it shine it’s Artomology. And we are, brave and tameless. I can see you’re making up the rules When you dance with the danger, it’s incredible.

The Sum Of Memories
The Sum of Memories ©Robert "Rocky" Brewer VERSE 1 I’m pretty sure it was September when the journey started A dozen bags, a couple cars and way too much at stake A little laugh, a subtle bond and life ahead uncharted It’s either gonna be amazing or a big mistake Oh, I know I was scared to start Oh, but the ending could break my heart CHORUS: Close your eyes Open up your heart Maybe you’ll become something more Cause life is made of doors We are the sum of all of these memories Sunsets and hugs and sad goodbyes Spend your days wondering why And life will pass you by VERSE 2 The cities came the cities went and life grew more demanding We fought we loved and through it all I knew we’d never break A little luck, a lot of trust and no clue where we’re landing We’ll either end up at the top or fall flat on our face Oh, what more is there left to do? Oh, what else have we got to lose? CHORUS: Spend your life standing by And time will pass you in the night BRIDGE: I used to think that I’d seen all there was to see But then I finally closed my eyes And now I see CHORUS:

Through A Keyhole
Through A Keyhole © Robert Brewer | 7.22.18 Verse 1: Feels like I’ve been waiting for a light. I must be blind…Or lost my mind… If I told you I felt out of time, could you blame me? Could you blame me? And now the sun is slowly rising. I’m out of time, but I feel fine. All these open doors are harmonizing But the sweetest sound says “stick around” Chorus: But I’ve been watching my life through a key hole. Evolution has been waiting for me to come home. I ran across the world to find some answers for my restless mind and somehow, I’m still standing, at the starting line. Verse 2: Feels like everything was going right. An open sky…No clouds in sight. Now I’m lost and lonely in July. Can you blame me? Can you blame me? And now the storm is galvanizing. A thunderous sound, is all around. Feel the rain crash down, it’s not surprising. So I scream out loud, come take me now. Chorus: But I’ve been watching my life through a key hole Evolution has been waiting for me to come home I ran across the world to find some answers for my restless mind and somehow, I’m still standing, at the starting line. Bridge: This feels like waking up in someone else’s mind. And I’ve never felt so damn confined.

Nevermore
NEVERMORE © 2017 Robert Brewer VERSE 1 How’s it going, my old friend? It’s been a really long time since this thing began. I’ve been busy, that’s for sure. I kind of fear I might say the Raven “nevermore.” For I’ve been on the road for so long dreaming of your sapphire eyes, waiting for our two worlds to collide. CHORUS 1: I don’t want to go this time… Not unless you’re right here by my side. I just want to stay lost in time, and pretend the world has passed us by. And though I haven’t got a clue which way I’m going, I ask you. Stay with me. Stay with me this time. VERSE 2: Tell me something, tell me true. Do you worry that I’ll choose this journey over you? Cause yeah, I’ve been busy. Traveling the land. But every city I pass is just like water through my hands. All my memories feel impaired, my bed is empty, you’re not there, so pack your bags and let’s go anywhere. CHORUS 2: I don’t want to go this time… Not unless you’re right here by my side. I just want to stay lost in time, and pretend the world has passed us by. I don’t want to say our goodbyes… I just want to stare into those eyes. If you run away with me tonight. We could see the world come back to life. BRIDGE: A thousand books with empty pages left to write. So watch my eyes and hold my hand real tight. CHORUS 3: I don’t want to go this time… “My old friend” Not unless you’re right here by my side. “We could see the world come back to life” I just want to stay lost in time, “Hold on tight” and pretend the world has passed us by. “If you run away with me tonight.

Dancing In The Rain
Dancing in the Rain ©Robert Brewer All this work without a ceiling. It's been days and I've been dreaming. Where does it end? Where do we begin? I don't want to hear a maybe. I don't want to get there first. I just want to call your name and let you see me at my worst. Now I can't stand another day without you near me can you hear me? Can you hear me? Chorus: Goodbye moon. Goodbye stars. Goodbye everything you are. Goodbye sound. Goodbye light. Goodbye dreams in black and white. Goodbye Moon. In the end I wasn't thinking. Now I've got this sinking feeling. I'm out of time. No reason why. When did I become to jaded? All my pieces in reverse. I should probably quit complaining cause it only makes it worse. When all the world is blurry motion and I'm frozen can you see me? Can you see me? CHORUS My train is leaving. I touch your face and then I slowly turn away. You call my name. This time I stay. and we'll be dancing in the rain In the rain. When I wake my eyes are burning and I've got this awful yearning. It's all a dream. I need to scream. I don't want to leave without you. I don't want to be alone. I just want to see you smiling. No more talking on the phone. Now I can't stand another day without you near me. Can you hear me? Can you hear me? Chorus:
