He explained that the riggers are unique to the year of manufacture and have specific alignment requirements, making it challenging to find compatible ones.     Episode 26 Rowing Friends Dave Cusano

    We are pleased to welcome Dave Cusano a fellow UB Crew Alumni to the Rowing Friends podcast.  Dave discussed the challenges and successes of his rowing team's season, highlighting the impact of weather and other factors on their performance. He noted that despite the difficulties, the team maintained a positive attitude and achieved some success at nationals. David also shared his philosophy on coaching, emphasizing the importance of producing good humans through rowing rather than focusing solely on competitive results. Additionally, he mentioned his plans to coach a small group of college athletes over the summer and expressed hope for the success of two alumni at U23 trials.  Dave shared his 25-year coaching journey, starting at UB and moving to Ohio before returning to Fayetteville, where he became the head coach of FM's rowing team. Dave noted that the boathouse, located next to SU, hosts around 350 rowers in the spring, and he appreciates the opportunity for his teams to learn from SU's successful rowing style. Dave reminisces about his college rowing experiences, sharing various memories from his time at UB. He recalls specific locations like the Augusta hotel during spring break, a pub called King George's, and several bars on Main Street.     Episode 22 Rowing Friends

    In this episode Kate expressed frustration about the changes to the live streaming service at the Saratoga Invitational rowing event, particularly the shift from a free to a paid service. She speculated that this change might be due to US Rowing contracting with a specific company for all rowing event live streams. Kate appealed to the organizers to reconsider this decision, given the importance of the live stream for remote viewers and the limitations of on-site viewing.
