I am very honored to share the inspirational story of one of my best friends. Jennifer Pagan is this week's Roxx Star and shares with us her story of resilience of when she battled kidney failure. She was blessed to have a living donor and went through a successful kidney transplant three years ago today. She is now thriving and embracing life while aging gracefully. With domestic violence awareness month around the corner in October, I decided to share parts of my story of when I was in an abusive marriage. As I was editing this episode, I realized that I shared more of the emotional and mental abuse. As I mentioned in the episode, bruises heal faster than the emotional abuse one is put through.
