OF OLIVET, MIBIO:Sam Hargraves is in his seventh season as the head men's basketball coach at The University of Olivet in 2025-26.During his first season as the Comets' head coach, Hargraves had a 6-19 overall record. One of the wins was an 88-73 upset victory over No. 18-ranked Carthage (Wis.) College. In a COVID-shortened 2020-21 season, he led Olivet to a 2-16 overall record. One of the wins was an 85-83 victory over Spring Arbor University, which had beaten Olivet earlier in the season. During the 2021-22 season, Hargraves aided the Comets to a 7-19 overall record. In 2022-23, he led the Comets to a 12-15 overall record and finished fourth in the MIAA with a 7-7 record. Olivet defeated Albion College in the MIAA Tournament first round before falling to top-seed Calvin University in the semifinals. In 2023-24, Hargraves and the Comets posted a 5-20 overall record. The signature win of the season was an 87-75 victory over No. 2-ranked Trine (Ind.) University. The Thunder went on to win the 2024 NCAA Division III Championship. During the 2024-25 season, Hargraves guided the Comets to an 11-16 overall record and fourth-place finish in the MIAA standings with an 8-6 record. Olivet defeated Albon in a first-round MIAA Tournament inside the Cutler Event Center. The Comets fell to top-seed Calvin in the semifinals.Before joining Olivet's staff, Hargraves completed eight seasons as the head men’s basketball coach at Alma College. His tenure is highlighted by a trip to the NCAA Division III Elite 8 in 2015-16, where the Scots finished the season ranked sixth in the nation by D3hoops.com. Cory Dunn hit the Jackpot.  Coach Dunn has been a teacher &  head boys’ basketball coach at Rossville High School (IN) since the 2014-2015 season. The folks in Rossville love their RHS Hornets basketball; it’s an obsession.  Want to see a packed gym?  Go to an RHS game.  In Rossville, their high school basketball team is the hub of their tight-knit community.  Rossville High School’s opponents love playing at RHS, as they know the gym will be packed.  It’s a perfect fit for Coach Dunn, as he played at Tri-Central High School (Sharpsville, IN), where the feeling is mutual.  As an ex-Eastern Greentown High School player, I can attest to that sentiment.  Playing at TC was not an easy task.Before arriving at Rossville, Dunn coached at Sheridan High School, where he served as head coach during the 2013–14 season.  Coach Dunn won a sectional title in his very first year (2015) and led the Hornets to back-to-back sectional championships in 2020 and 2021.  Currently, the Hornets are 15-2 & are coming off a 52-50 win over Fountain Central High School on February 7, 2026.  Additionally, Coach Dunn has earned a reputation for being a purveyor of upsets.Please check out our content via our Basketball Nexus website at https://coaching-nexus.myrustbeltbasketball.com/.

He also holds the Division III record for the fastest coach to reach 200 wins, accomplishing it in 249 games.Rickrode led the Colonels to 17 MAC and MAC Freedom playoff appearances and five-straight NCAA Tournament appearances. Under Coach Walz’s leadership, the Vikings captured the WIAA Division 1 state title after being elevated from Division 2 by the Tournament Performance Factor. The team rose to the challenge, winning the Woodland-West Conference and clinching the championship with back-to-back nail-biters—defeating Oshkosh North 58–57 and Marshfield 57–55. The Vikings finished the season with an outstanding 28–2 record. Coach Walz has had the luxury of coaching Kon Knueppel, who played for Duke University & is currently having a stellar rookie season for the Charlotte Hornets.  Kon is averaging 18.7 ppg, 5.5 rpg, 3.6 apg, & is shooting 48.2% from the field.  Additionally, Coach Walz is currently coaching Kager Knueppel (Junior): A rising star, Kager has been key to the Vikings' top-ranked, 10-0 start to the 2025-26 season, contributing high-level scoring and rebounding (e.g., 18 points, 14 rebounds, 4 assists in a recent game). Ryan Ripke & Derek Sheridan pay tribute to Al Radlinski. Al recently passed away & left a positive legacy behind. Mr. Radlinski was a long time basketball official in northwest Ohio.

Jeff Shepherd tore a wide path through the state of Indiana as one of the premier jump shooters in the state. Jeff played his high school basketball at Carmel HS & set many records. However, Jeff's days of setting records were just beginning. Jeff continued his scholastic and basketball playing career at Huntington College (IN) where he played for the legendary & HOF Coach Steve Platt. In this Courtcast, Jeff takes us through his basketball journey & how he mastered his legendary 3-point shooting ability.

This L.O.G. presentation takes a deep dive into the legendary career of Coach Paul Wayne. Coach Wayne has earned nearly every honor a coach can earn, including Holgate High School's 2004 state championship.

This RBCN Legend of the Game presentation was in honor of the late Coach Steve Platt. Coach Platt was not only an unreal player, he was also a HOF coach. Huntington College's gym is named after Coach Platt, as it should be. Outside of the gym, Coach Platt was a dedicated family man & mentor to many people. This L.O.G. presentation highlights Coach Platt's accomplishments & what it was like to play for him.
