Their calls rise and fall like a living orchestra, uninterrupted and perfectly timed. The journey concludes at the river bed, where gentle flow of water over stone adds a grounding, meditative undertone; completing a soundscape designed for deep relaxation, focus, meditation, or sleep.Whether you are seeking calm, creative inspiration, or a connection to wild Kenya, this immersive audio experience brings the tranquility of nature directly to you.Perfect for:Deep sleep and relaxationMeditation and mindfulnessStudying and focusNature lovers and ambient sound enthusiastsClosing Poem"Where the River Listens"Where the valley leans into silence, and the sun lingers without hurry, feathers settle into stillness, yet song refuses to rest.Notes ripple through branches, stitched by beak and breeze, each call a soft declaration, that life is enough, just as it is.The river does not interrupt - it listens, sliding over stone like memory, carrying every chorus downstream. And here, between wing and water, the world loosens its grip - until all that remains is rhythm, and breath, and being.Storyteller/Nature Poet - JohnMakWatch related nature videos on my YouTube channel @greenswing4271Thank you for your Support and Encouragement.Support the show

The Resilient Chorus: Echoes of a Roadside Eden
Send us Fan MailThis recording captures a sonic miracle hidden in plain sight. The Gitoro forest in Meru County, Kenya.Nestled just a stone's throw from the restless hum of a busy highway, this biodiverse sanctuary was once stripped bare, and became a deforested wasteland. That was after harvesting of the once old-growth forest, and then allowing farmers to cultivate. The farmers in turn tended the young tree saplings until they achieved a level of maturity that made farming unsustainable.Today, it stands as as testament to nature's tenacity. The soundscape features an intricate, high-energy" orchestra" of African tropical birds.Listen closely as the territorial calls of sunbirds, the rhythmic drumming of barbets, sharp baritones of Green Turacos, fluid melodies of Emerald Cuckoo, the Yellow-fronted Tinkerbird, and choruses of so many other species interweave so perfectly they seem choreographed. It is a dense, multilayered performance where the wild vibrancy of the regenerated forest rises to meet - and eventually drown out - the mechanical pulse of the modern world.Poem: The Sound of BiodiversityWhere once the earth lay silent, stripped and torn,A green rebellion rises with the dawn.Beside the river of asphalt, grey and loud,The forest weaves its wild and emerald shroud. No baton waves, yet every voice is found,In symphonies of light and feathered sound. The hornbill's bass, the weaver's frantic thread,A living choir where once the land was dead. The gears of man may grind and roar and race,But cannot dim the glory of this place. For in the heart of ruin, life took wing.To teach the weary world how well to sing.Storyteller/Nature Poet: JohnMakEnjoy similar nature content in video format on my YouTube channel: @greenswing4271Support the show

White Noise: Night Rain Symphony
Send us Fan MailDuring the long rains season in Kenya, the night sky gathers heavy clouds and the land settles into a quiet anticipation. This immersive one-hour and seven minutes recording captures the living rhythm of a tropical rainstorm unfolding after dark. What begins as gentle showers soon grows into a powerful downpour, the rain drums steadily across the landscape. The intensity rises and falls like a natural orchestra - sometimes roaring with force, sometimes softening into a delicate whisper. At moments, the rain nearly fades away, leaving a hushed stillness in the night air. Then from afar, a deep thunderclap rolls across the sky, announcing the arrival of another wave.Lightning briefly illuminates the cloud-filled heavens before the darkness returns, and the rain resumes its hypnotic cadence. For hours the storm breathes, modulating in rhythm and tone. It is both powerful and peaceful, a meditation written in water and thunder, and lightning. This episode invites you to relax, reflect, meditate, study or drift into sleep while listening to the timeless music of rain during Kenya's long rains season.Poem: Rain Over the Sleeping LandNight gathers clouds in silent might,A darkened canopy veils the light. Then softly first the raindrops fall,A silver whisper over all.The storm then finds its deeper voice, A rolling rhythm without a choice.Thunder speaks across the sky,Lightning briefly flashes by.The rain retreats to gentler streams,Like distant echoes of quiet dreams.Yet soon again the heavens pour,A swelling tide, a drumming roar.Through hours the living waters sing,A calm the restless night can bring.Until the storm, both fierce and wise,Leaves peace beneath the clearing skies.Storyteller/Nature Poet - JohnMakSafaripod is listed on Spotify, Apple, YouTube and a host of other directoriesWatch immersive nature content videos on my YouTube channel (@greenswing4271)Support the show

Soothing Farm Forest Sounds: "A Quiet Valley Between Engines and Birds" #relaxingnaturesounds, #healingnaturesounds, #birdmelodies
Send us Fan MailJust three kilometers from Meru Town; the headquarters of Meru County - Kenya, and a few clicks from a highway that never fully sleeps, a farm forest settles into its own ancient rhythm in a verdant riverine valley.Across the river valley, engines rise and fade like distant weather. While here, beneath layered canopies with drying leaves and twigs gently falling to the forest floor, birds rehearse old and well-practiced songs. They all choreograph them into patient syllables reminiscent of a symphony orchestra. This is a place shaped by people, and for people, and not through conquest, but through care.A living example of how communities can choose restoration over retreat, and coexistence over erasure.Trees stand where effort was planted, soil deepens where intention stayed, and the river carries both memory and renewal. The podcast captures this delicate coexistence: the mechanical breath of modern life brushing against leaves, wind and enchanting bird melodies. The urgency of development held in conversation with the slower wisdom of ecosystems recovering their voice.A tranquil nature oasis, yes - but more than that, a reminder: that when people center conservation, even the busiest roads cannot silence a forest finding its way back to itself. If this episode does not make you dozy, I do not know what else could lull someone into a deep and peaceful sleep. Send us Fan MailEchoes in a gentle stream is a quiet refuge of sound, where a soft brook flows patiently over ancient smooth stones, and time seems to slow with the rhythm.Light bird melodies drift through the air like fleeting thoughts, rising and fading among the branches and leaves.A tender breeze passes through the riverine woodlot, carrying the hush of the water as it flows, unhurried and kind. This podcast is an invitation to listen deeply to the whispering current, to the bird melodies, to wings fluttering in the distance, and to the calm rhythm that nature breathes when nothing asks to be rushed. Here, sound therapy becomes stillness, and stillness becomes a place to rest and reflect, introspect, meditate and relax without human-made audio clutter.A place to unwind, heal and rejuvenate the soul.Producer: JohnMakWatch where these podcasts are recorded on my YouTube channel ....@greenswing4271. Relaxing & Therapeutic Rain Sounds
Send us Fan MailAfter months of waiting, the first day of January 2026 arrived like a deep breath finally. It was a pleasant surprise, starting just after midnight as fireworks had started lighting up the new year night skies around Nairobi and adjacent Kajiado county urban centers. By the end of December, hope had worn thin. The October to December rains, once always expected and quietly trusted had barely shown themselves.Fields stood pale and crops showed signs of withering. Some rivers shrank into hesitant threads. People spoke less about harvests and more about endurance .Animals moved slowly, ribs sharper, eyes searching the horizon. It was a season balanced on the edge of despair. But the sky changed its mind. Clouds gathered with purpose; dark, heavy and unashamed. The first thunder rolled not as a warning, but as a promise.Lightning unstitched the sky open, and when the rain fell, it did not ask for permission. It arrived in sheets, drumming rooftops, hammering dry earth, filling the air with the scent of rebirth. For people the following day, it was relief you could hear in laughter and silence alike. Hands were lifted to the rain, faces turned upward. The sound of water on iron sheets became music; steady, generous, and worries softened.Conversations shifted. The future; which had felt narrow and fragile, suddenly widened. Even the often times intense social-economic and political high temperatures cooled down loads. For animals, the relief was instinctive and immediate. Cattle raised their heads. Goats bleated and moved with new energy. Birds erupted into song between rain intervals and thunder claps.Dry water pans filled up quick, grasses sprouted and the land remembered how to live again. The rain spoke a language older than fear, and every creature understood it.Thunder cracked overhead, lightning flared, and the storm stayed long enough to wash away doubt. In that downpour, January did more than bring rain. It restored rhythm. It returned fresh breath. It reminded humans and animals that even after near despair, God can still choose mercySupport the show

The River Valley Chorus
Send us Fan MailIn the warm, early afternoon sunshine, the Mbagathi river valley woodlot adjacent to Nairobi National Park's southern border is alive with a symphony of birdsong. The dappled light filters through the acacia and fig trees, and other indigenous tree species, catching the flicker of brilliant wings, of birds just going on with their daily business. From the canopies and bushes, the bubbly, cheerful melody of sunbirds blend with the distinctive flute-like call of an African drongo. The air itself seems to vibrate with the energetic chirps and whistles of weavers and starlings, a joyous, chattering chorus celebrating the day from their sanctuary, where the wild heart of the park meets the quiet borderland. And there I sat down in the midst of it all, to soak in a rare sensory immersion. White Noise: A Farm Awakens in Song
Send us Fan MailThe soundscape begins gently, at sunrise. First you hear the chit-chat-like songs of early riser finches perched on nearby trees to welcome a new day. The clear whistles of a glossy starlings, their metallic songs bouncing through the air.Soon, liquid notes of robin-chats join in, curling ribbons of sound through the acacia branches. In the distance, doves coo softly, their rhythmic hoo-hoo-hoo echoing with a calm, homely tone. Then bulbuls make an entry into the melodic fray and are soon joined by sunbirds, wagtails and an awesome profusion of so many other resident and migrating birds. From the tall grasses, a flock of weaver birds burst into chatter, their rapid-fire calls like sparks of yellow energy, punctuated by the occasional harsh cry of the go-away birdsCloser to the homestead, the familiar clucks of free-range chickens cut through the morning symphony. A proud rooster lets out a bold cock-a-doodle-doo, announcing the day like a village herald. Their soft scratching and low murmurs mingle with the wind's sigh across the fieldNot far away, a small flock of sheep adds their voice, gentle bleats rising and falling like a pastoral lullabySometimes they call in unison, sometimes one bleat stands alone, echoing faintly before melting into the seemingly chaotic but joyful birdsong symphonyThe sounds overlap-wild and domestic, woven together and creating a soundscape where the Kenyan sky hums with lifeSupport the show

Scrub Robin's Best Music
Send us Fan MailA Scrub Robin settled on a tree next to the one I was sitting under to shield myself from the intensifying mid-morning heat. I had just completed a 3 kilometer nature walk.I am certain he just wanted my companionship as much as I appreciated his. There were very few other birds in close proximity but the one's present gave a good rating of their melodic offerings. So it was a slow jam for the next 30 minutes until other ambient noises increased, including a near strike on my friendly Scrub Robin by a Sparrow Hawk. The Sparrow Hawk had taken full advantage of a passing jet overhead to musk warnings of impending danger by other birds in the vicinity. But the Scrub Robin was super alert, and had time to make an evasive maneuverA new bird making a sharp and steely sound was the only competition to the Scrub Robin. My stop over was well rewarded but you, my fan should be the judgeMigrating flocks made repeated passes overhead on their way to pastures with more seeds, fruits and whatever else birds eat.JohnMakSupport the show

After Midnight Bird's Melodies
Send us Fan MailAfter midnight, the world exhales into an ethereal beauty - the rain has just tiptoed away, leaving behind a moist hush that clings to the leaves, roof and earth like a secret. From the thickets, hedges and treetops comes a soft chorus: birds, awakened or stirred by the passing rain, exchange chatty melodies in the dark night.Their calls are not urgent, but curious, echoing and answering each other like old friends whispering stories under a cloud-subdued ambiance. Each trill and chirrup seems brighter in the stillness, rising above the steady drip of rainwater from eaves and branches. The night itself feels cleansed - cool, earthy fragrant, and lightly humming with nocturnal life. The peace is near-perfect , save for the high-pitched whine and pinprick stings of relentless mosquitoes reminding you of your earthly presence.Yet, even that cannot quite spoil the enchantment of this damp, musical midnight.JohnMakProducerYou can watch where these nature sounds are produced in our YouTube channel - @greenswing4271Support the show

Send us Fan MailThe rain speaks in hushed tones, a language of comfort woven into every drop. It begins softly, a tentative patter against leaves and earth, like distant footsteps tiptoeing across a quiet room. Then as the clouds sigh heavier, the rhythm deepens, a steady, soothing murmur against rooftops and windows, each drop a silver note in nature's lullaby. There is the delicate hiss of rain kissing earth, the plink-plink as it gathers in puddles, rippling outward in liquid circles. High above, the drum-drum-drum on taut branches mimics a heartbeat, slow and sure. Beneath it all, the earth drinks greedily, a low resonant hum of soil welcoming the sky.Sometimes, the wind lifts the rain's voice - a whisper through branches and leaves, as more silverly drops become intense, swirling in continuous waves across a wet landscape. Other times, it falls straight and true, a curtain of sound so even, so endless, it blurs the edges of thought. Here, in this liquid hush, time dissolves. There is only the rain's tender insistence: Rest. Let go. Be Still. And so you doWatch nature videos @greenswing4271Support the show

White Noise - Soothing Whispers of Renewal
Send us Fan MailDrift into a world where the farm sighs with new life of quiet renewal. Leaves murmur secrets of the gently blowing wind, whispering of lands healing and wild things returning.Birds stitch silver threads of song through the softened air, their voices rising where silence once ruled.Roosters greet the dawn, their calls echoing across fields where wild flowers now bloom among the crops. In the sunlit farmyard, chickens cluck and peck their feeder trays in gentle rhythm, their small lives part of a patchwork of revival, while cows, sheep and goats graze peacefully in pastures slowly rewilding. All around, the earth breathes in relief- a tender symphony of rebirth. A cool breeze tends to the soul, and reminds the heart of what a restored ecosystem looks and sounds like.Enjoy the showSupport the show

Slow Jam Nature Sounds
Send us Fan MailThe setting for this episode recording is Isiolo County in Kenya, located north-east of Mount Kenya. Isiolo County is actually the center-most part of the country. The semi-desert environment has its own unique nature sounds and attractions. The recording starts mid-afternoon in a sparsely wooded dry-seasonal-river bed with scattered human settlement. The birds are back to their roosts sheltering from the intense afternoon sunshine and heat. Some birds sing the rhythms while others contribute to punctuating lullabies; a slow afternoon jam that can easily induce one into succumbing to the proverbial forty winks. Other birds join in with bass, others with percussions and tambourines to compliment to the dynamic orchestra sequences. A flock of birds seem to laugh off a little dog's barking in response to their intense cadence. The recording ends with a clip from a forest where active cicadas and forest birds join in with a venerable climax.Enjoy the show Support the show

Day-Long-Healing Nature Sounds
Send us Fan MailThese selected one day-long recordings capture nature sounds from a sunrise to a sunset, and the night ahead.Birds are the most audible and visible creatures in nature. And they know how to welcome a new day with their incredible repertoire of songs and compositions. These recordings are from the same ecosystem a hundred meters radius. Notice the morning sounds morph seamlessly into the afternoon rhythms. And then an enchanting sundowner of melodies ensues before darkness sets in. Creatures of the night take over, but it's mostly crickets and frogs that dominate the stage in an endless cacophony that is punctuated by millions of seemingly squeaky sounds. One has to pay closer attention to appreciate the variety of such intricate compositions. As the night progressed, Nairobi National Park lions made throaty roars to announce their presence for all who may need to know. These sounds are heard from over a kilometer away.I believe that these creatures' songs by day and by night mimic the living- earth vibrations. Vibrations that bring peace, for stress and anxiety reduction and general wellbeing. They can sing minerals into existence and healing into a reality. Nature heals even the most troubled soul. It is just that the value of natural capital is undervalued.Immerse yourself in the most relaxing and healing nature sounds from SafariPod. Support ecosystem restorationSupport the show

Relaxing Evening Rain Sounds
Send us Fan MailIt is middle of the rain season in Kenya. The rains had taken a week's break but came tumbling down from up yonder on Saturday 12th, 2025.Bolts of lightning flashed through the thick clouds followed by thunder claps that seemed to gallop and boom across the evening skyline. The thunder came intermittently after each flash, and left an echo trail that could be heard until it diminished in the distant horizon. The birds sang cheerfully to welcome back the liquid bounty that came down in big clear-drops that resembled the finest diamonds.I too stood in awe as the downpour hit the roof and slid off to the ground in rivulets. The pools filled up in continuous waves from which run-off took the path of least resistance on a downhill trajectory. It is a relief to see rain because entire ecosystems will regenerate to provide life support for a host of species, humans included."In all things nature, there is something of the marvelous." - Aristotle.Support the show

Nature Sounds for Deep Sleep
Send us Fan MailOften times, we are too tired or preoccupied with pre-sleep routines to notice the incredible nature sounds that pervade the silence of every night. The crickets, frogs, night jays, the howls, growls and a multitude of other indiscernible sounds are a perfect lullaby for deep sleep or meditation. My untrained scientist mind thinks that the millions of creatures shrill cadence mimics the un-audible earth vibrations, and presents them in perfect harmony. It may sound like intrusive noise, but closer listening can easily transport you to peaceful dreamland. Support the show

Farm Scene Symphony
Send us Fan MailNature symphony distilled from the mists of dawn and just after sunrise.Pristine nature is fast disappearing because of our human nature developments. And it is encouraging because humans are incredibly innovative continuously. What matters now is ensuring that we do not degrade nature at the alter of social-economic transformation. As much as is possible, we ought to keep nature in balance so that ecosystems that sustain us remain fully functional. One of the best ways for restoring nature and bringing it closer to our homes, farms, and habitats generally is through planting of trees, fruit trees, and wild hedges. This episode is recorded in a farm setting where nature has been preserved for diversity to thrive. And the most visible sign of such restorative activities is the presence of trees and woodlots. When our restorative activities invite biodiversity into our homesteads, we become part of nature by working with nature for sustainable livelihoods for all species.Enjoy the show.JohnMakSupport the show

Mugongai Forest Sounds
Send us Fan MailA visit to the private Mugongai Forest Sanctuary was quite a refreshing audio therapy treat. The little forest is mature and pristine despite its close proximity to an urban environment in Meru County, Kenya. The forest is close to a highway but ambient traffic sounds did not seem to deter the birds from giving out their best in a melodious outpouring. It is like the day was just made for them, and I sat down to immerse in the peaceful atmosphere.Truly, it is possible to synchronize our human nature with those of wild nature. Going green with our motor transportation will undoubtedly boost our chances of living in harmony with nature. The least we can do is make the cars and motor cycles less noisy.I hope you will find this particular forest piece relaxing, and adequate to help you unwind on a day like this. Ngong River Sounds
Send us Fan MailSitting by a river bank on a hot afternoon can be sensationally relaxing. I sat by the Ngong river last week of January, and the show was incredible.Birds can be quite chatty. Although our untrained minds may not decipher the audio camaraderie, birds actually engage in lengthy conversations. They embellish the goings on with song and dance. The sound of water running gently over the rocky riverine woodlot added to the medley of pleasant melodies. The bird species arriving for this afternoon roost session increased gradually to have a fully complemented outdoor orchestra. The winds blew gently and the tree branches and falling leaves rustled. The sounds uplifted my spirit. I trust that you too will find these sounds relaxing enough to unleash your creative juices. Morning & Afternoon Nature Sounds
Send us Fan MailThe recording starts in mid-morning on a nature trail 30 kilometers out of Nairobi City County. I stopped briefly at several spots along the trail to pick new sounds.Morning bird songs are distinct from the afternoon and evening songs, even if they are the same birds. The variations depend how the day has turned out for each bird species. For some it is the weather, others it is the food, for others it is noise pollution, and to others it is the peace of the day and so forth. But mostly, it is song, grooming, scrouging for food and general camaraderie.Animals and human beings also respond to the complex magnitude of these compositions. Some will fall asleep or just blank out in an unwind latitude. For some, it is only then does peace like a river flow. It is then that the spirits are uplifted, and creativity unlocked from the deep recesses of our subconscious minds. They are healing sounds. The recording ends in a farm and specifically adjacent to a poultry compound. Different birds came and perched on some trees next to where I had taken shelter. Some birds stayed briefly and left. But one bird tarried a little bit, and the richness of that one bird's composition lulled even the chicken to a slumber, myself not withstanding. And so my day was made. Enjoy the showJonMakSupport the show

Birds, Wind & Water
Send us Fan MailThis episode is recorded along a seasonal river bed that runs along the OloSirikon valley when it rains. The seasonal river has receded after the short January rains. It is now a stream flowing before it eventually dries up under the intense February sun.The vegetation has sprung up and the greenery is exhilarating. The air is fresh in the countryside. The Kajiado County grazing lands teem with healthy livestock, and the migratory corridors are alive with wildlife. The most cheerful are the birds though. They brought their song to the riverine woodlot, and I sat down to record these mid-morning melodies. The soft mid-day bird choruses induced an ambiance of serenity to massage a sense of wellness. The acacia tree branches swayed in the wind in sync with the gentle sound of water running over stones. This stream joins Mbagathi river a few clicks downstream before entering Athi River; all the way to the Indian Ocean. As I took this break in nature, I knew I was breathing fresh air, embellished with doses of beautiful nature sounds. Birds Heralding Rain Season
Send us Fan MailIt is late afternoon when this clip is recorded. The clouds are thick and hang low and dark. The birds arrive back early to their night roosts. They perch and generally hang around in their hood and sing merry tones to herald the new rain season. Then it started with lightening flashes across the sky and followed by heavy thunderstorms. The skies sounded busy with new sounds that muted the bird songs in the ecosystem. Thunder claps exploded and echoed in a wave of cascades across the skies into the far horizon.Showers of rain fell into the ground in gentle waves to quench the cracked and thirsty earth. Rains are always welcome in Africa where seasons have been disrupted by the onset of climate change. And it is no longer certain when one season begins and the other ends. But it came this day and that counted for a regenerative season. A time of plenty for all creatures great and small.Enjoy the showSupport the show

Refreshing Day Break Sounds
Send us Fan MailThese are easy listening sounds of nature. The recording starts at 6.30 am for this episode. The new day breaks with songs of joy from birds. A day full of expectations and opportunities. Most birds are at various stages of waking up. The sun is incrementally rising from the eastern skies, and a golden glow creates a mosaic of patterns on the savannah plains. The sun rays penetrating through the morning clouds create an array of glitter through the tree canopies. Dew is still fresh on the grass and vegetation.I always choose a new location to record nature sounds for each episode. I would then spend the day on the trail, and picking different spots in the same location to capture different sounds.I can hear the too too to to to .... of the rain bird in the distance. It is always a signal that the rain season is close. The finches, doves, herons, sterlings, dringos, weaver birds and a multitude of other feathered species welcome a new day in style.By 7 am, many birds are out of their night roosts. They make sorties in various directions in search of breakfast. But they sing a lot in the process. While some are hunting on the ground and around bushes, others are perched on branches to keep watch for any danger.By this time, you are probably on your way to work or in a traffic jam. Well, you wont miss out on soothing, inspiring and healing nature sounds that you miss in the city. These are nature sounds from Kenya, a globally favorite safari destination. Its like the day was just made for them. Some just perch on branches and sing or fly by from one tree to the next to gain vantage points to participate well in the melody making.Flies on the other hand seem to have fun buzzing the recorder mic so as not to be left out in the music making by their louder counterpartsThey look happy like they have had a successful morning doing whatever it is they rise early to accomplish.Support the show

Yatta River Bank Sounds - Machakos County - Kenya
Send us Fan MailIn my quest to get nature sounds from pristine nature locations, I have found that there are not many places left that could be described as purely pristine. The hand of humanity has already touched almost everywhere. There are still a few places left that one could experience nature with minimal or subdued human sounds in the distance.Kenya's national parks and reserves could very well be described as pristine. However, there are cost implications for regular visits to film and record nature sounds.Conversely, there is absolutely nothing wrong with human made sounds as long as they are regulated to avoid noise pollution. Human made sounds should blend and be part of our natural world. Yes, "no human is limited"...@Eliud Kipchoge. These nature sounds are recorded in a Yatta Valley, located in Machakos County in Kenya. Lion Loses Kill to Hyenas
Send us Fan MailIt was on Christmas day. We watched a male lion track down a herd of three male impalas from late afternoon. The location is at the Nairobi National Park southern border. We watched from the safety of a secure terrace. And a hyena scout is never too far away from a lion on a hunting prowl. If the lion makes a kill, then he would howl loudly to report to his mates. As evening set in and darkness enveloped the valley, the lion managed to corner one of the bucks and made a kill. The scene was hidden by a thick acacia woodlot and no one would dare venture close to a lion with prey.No sooner had the male lion put the impala down and the hyena was louder than several vuvuzelas that echoed across the valley.Unfortunately for the lion, he was on hyena territory where they call home and patrol. A multitude of them were on the scene almost instantly. The lion put on a brave fight but he was surrounded, and overwhelmed by a mob of howling hyenas. No idea how much of the bloody banquet he was able to enjoy. The hyenas were left to feast and squabble over King of the jungle's hard won meal on Christmas Day. Support the show

Sirikon Valley Nature Sounds
Send us Fan MailOloosirikon is located in Kajiado County in Kenya, adjacent to the Nairobi National Park southern border. Migrating birds take time to roost in the savannah grassland valleys before continuing with their journeys. For the time they are in the vicinity, they provide an incredible acoustic boost to the local birds that inhabit the woodlots. There are plenty of pristine wilderness patches left in Kajiado despite the encroaching Nairobi County urban sprawl. Agroforest Sounds
Send us Fan MailAgroforestry is one of the smartest solutions to climate change mitigation. The farmer benefits and biodiversity thrives, harmful carbon is sequestered and soil erosion is controlled. In a healthy farm such as this where this recording has been done, birds find a beautiful and bountiful place to call home with all the trees, shrubbery and crops growing in the farm.Their daily response is songs of joy and peace. Healing melodies from the heart and soul of some of nature's most beautiful creatures. And they never tire of it from sunrise to sunset. At 4 minutes and 2 seconds into this episode, the birds seem to laugh off a little puppies barks and a cows mooing.Enjoy the rhythms and rhymes of nature.Support the show

Mugongai Forest Sounds
Send us Fan MailThis episode is recorded in a private forest sanctuary in Meru County in Kenya. It is just after dawn and the birds welcome a new day with what they do best and that is sing. I do not know any human being who wakes up and sings so early in the morning. It is my contention that the day we humans learn to emulate birds and start our days with a song will herald a new trend of a peaceful and joyful lifestyle. But we are not very far from it because we tend to switch on to music as we prepare breakfast, as we drive to work, and when we sit down to unwind after a long days work. However, nature sounds are freely available every day and in abundance anywhere ecosystems are still functioning as they should. So let us all support ecosystem restoration and joyful nature melodies will be our portion perpetually.Support the show

Morning Nature Sounds
Send us Fan MailThis episode is recorded early in the morning before sunriseEvery dawn starts off with fantastic nature sounds, mostly from birds. They seem to be the happiest to see a new day as they break out with their songs. Each bird belts out a unique blend of melody that is in rhythm with all the others. Waking up to these sounds is quite uplifting to the spirit that sets the pace for the day ahead. And each day is different because there is always a migrating new species in the vicinity to enrich the melodious variety. The best time to listen to undisturbed nature sounds in the morning is before most people wake up and human-made sounds become audible.Support the show
