(sorry to disappoint some of you)...In this episode, we indulge in the world of self-care and explore the meaning behind this iconic mantra popularized by the show “Parks and Recreation”. We define what self-care means to us and examine what exactly self-care is and what it isn’t. (Hint: it’s not all about luxurious spa treatments and fancy vacations and wine!) We also examine how self-care is celebrated in the Western vs South Asian cultures and even between different generations while also providing economically feasible ways of doing self-care . Ugh, it’s so cold. Is it seriously only 4 pm? I feel like I wake up in darkness and go to bed in darkness. It’s like there is a dark ominous cloud over my head that I just can’t shake off ever since winter started. I have so many errands piled up that I need to get done. But I just don’t feel like it. Does the above narration sound familiar?
