#48: GW 34: Chelsea complete collapse; Rosenior sacking; United and Liverpool stand on business
This podcast focuses on the Premier League fixtures with United resiliently holding a 0-1 lead vs a helter-skelter Chelsea who failed to register a single big chance with 21 shots attempted, almost solidifying United's place in the Champions League next year with Bruno registering another assist. The Chelsea decline hit a tipping point when they showed at Amex Stadium with no tactical know-how, no intent to defend or press and what was evident to owners is that Rosenior had to be sacked following this result. We discuss potential replacements, while understanding that the process is still in incubation stage. Everton lost to their Merseyside rivals owing to a spectacular assist by Cody Gakpo to Salah and VVD scoring a clutch header to earn all 3 points. London clubs seem to be in a bad phase currently where Spurs conceded a late goal to Brighton getting a draw and Haaland and Cherki's finishes were enough to earn City all 3 points and taking a lead for the first time in the Title Race in its last few yards. Hosts: Chinmay, Raj and Sanket

#47: Liverpool UCL, FA Cup Visit, City thrash Chelsea, United lose to Leeds, hairpull
We discuss the fixtures in GW 31 and GW 32, where Chelsea lost to Everton and Manchester City conceding 6 goals and scoring 0. The only positive result midweek was the thumping win against Port Vale where Chelsea scored 7. Chelsea now faces Leeds United in the FA Cup Semi-final and United in the League at Stamford Bridge. Manchester United has received 2 unusual red cards with Maguire and Lisandro suspended for the Chelsea game. Manchester United came flat footed against Leeds in 1st half awarding them an Okafor brace with impressive pressing. Bruno notched another assist but unfortunately left Old Trafford with 0 points. Liverpool have had a tumultous week where PSG eliminated Liverpool from UCL Quarter finals and City eliminated Liverpool from FA Cup after pumping 4 goals. A ray of hope in securing Top 5 came when young Rio inspired a win against Fulham We also discuss the spicy fixtures with Atletico Madrid and Bayern eliminate Barcelona and Real Madrid from the Quarter Final. We discuss how one side of the SF is protagonists and the other side contains more pragmatic teams

#44: GW 30 Review: Chelsea horrible week, Liverpool held at Anfield vs Spurs, United smash Villa
In this episode we cover the PL games in GW 30 and the RO16 Leg 2 for Chelsea and Liverpool We start off with Liverpool getting held at a frustrating draw against Spurs at Anfield as despite the massive attacking talent in Liverpool, their only goal was scored a Dominik Szoboszalai Free Kick which rolled over Vicario's fingers in the goal. The Hungarian has broken Liverpool's record for most direct FKs by a single player in the league. Raj questions Slot's decision to play Frimpong at RW and Szoboszalai at RB eventually leading to Richarlison getting a free run in the Liverpool box for the equalizer. However he lays the major chunk of blame on Liverpool's attack. We also discuss what made Liverpool be so good against Galatasaray smashing 4 goals past the Turkish Giants, who could have even conceded more We also discuss the misery Chelsea has been inflicted with in both Champions League and the League as Newcastle beat Chelsea with a simple goal at Stamford Bridge and PSG widen the scoreline to finish off Chelsea. Chinmay raises major doubts over the future of Liam Rosenior. We also briefly touch the United vs Aston Villa game where Bruno gave 2 assists, the 2nd one to Cunha being absolutely world class and securing a relatively straightforward win vs the Villians. Aston Villa is on the brink of collapse in the league. There is a discussion if Bruno can rise up in the Balon'dor odds if he plays well for Portugal in the World Cup Hosts: Raj, Chinmay, Sanket

#43: English teams dacked in Europe. United lose to Newcastle, Liverpool lose to Wolves
We all have our woes to share this week. Chelsea began March with a bang beating Aston Villa convincingly at Villa Park with Joao Pedro getting his first Premier League hattrick. There was a scare on the weekend as Wrexham nearly dragged Chelsea into a scary scoreline in Extra Time. Chelsea lacked creativity in their B-squad as the team somehow got over the line. The real shock came on Wednesday as PSG avenged Chelsea with a 20-minute sucker punch finishing the home time 5-2 with a mountain to climb for Chelsea Liverpool also had a mixed week with 20th place Wolverhampton Wanderers beating the champions at Molineux with a 2-1 score despite a Salah goal. Liverpool thrashed the same Wolves in FA Cup with an inspiring performance by Rio Ngumhoa and Andy Robertson United and Carrick finally face a loss as 10 men Newcastle beat United at St. James's Park with a difficult goal by Will Osula. United has been dragged back in the Top 4/5 race due to this result. Finally we discuss how this week has bought the English coefficient considered to be very comfortable as Spain and Germany make good progress. This is especially jarring since Barcelona and PSG both have their weekend games moved whereas the UCL opponents in Chelsea and Newcastle face off on Saturday. Hosts: Chinmay, Raj and Sanket

#41: GW 28: Arsenal controversial win; Liverpool thrash West Ham
We discuss the GW 28 fixtures; Chelsea lose to Arsenal's Set-piece routines. Some other topics of discussion include Reece James being such a contrast to his teammates in handling big-game pressure. The shambolic red-card record, Palmer's lack of form and why Chelsea could lose out on Champions League spots in 2026-27. We also discuss Liverpool thrashing West Ham with amazing second ball retrieval in set-plays; a factor that made the side the domineering force in 2024-25 season. We praise Ekitike and Szoboszalai for being the players leading the charge. We also discuss the fact that West Ham is generating chances, but their record on defending is poor to survive relegation when compared to Nottingham Forest and Leeds. We discuss Manchester United's win against Palace leading to the team now being 3rd in the table. We praise the immense mentality shown by the team to not give up and get a win against tough sides like Crystal Palace and Everton. Hosts: Chinmay, Sanket and Raj

# 40: GW 27 Review; Chelsea drop points again; Liverpool and United get squeeky bum wins
We record this episode to discuss a good-old Premier League week. Though the week was highlighted by Arsenal stomping over Spurs again in the NLD, we had changes in the race for Champions League, with Liverpool equaling Chelsea's point total with a win against Forest at City Ground with a winner scored by Mcallister in extra time. Chelsea meanwhile dropped a point to Burnley after they had the numerical advantage following a rash red card for Wes Fofana. Overall we discuss why the performance looked so dull by Chelsea against the 19th team at Stamford Bridge. We also preview the Arsenal game on the weekend. Manchester United make it 10 games in a row where Sesko scores another goal off the bench. Other notable performers include Casimiro, Yoro and Lammens. Hosts: Chinmay, Raj and Sanket

# 39: GW 26 Review; FA Cup weekend; Liverpool thrash Brighton; Neto 3trick;
We meet on the evening when Chelsea and Liverpool are both through to the 5th round of the FA Cup. We also discuss the PL results from midweek where Chelsea and Manchester United broke their winning streaks against Leeds and West Ham United. We admonish Chelsea's poor defence when they let a 2-0 lead at 70' wither away and praise Sesko for the point earned by an improvised finish. We also discuss Liverpool beating Sunderland at the Stadium of Light emphatically, as a result of very good finish by Virgil Van Djik. We also discuss Chelsea comfortably beating Hull City and Liverpool beating Brighton in FA Cup, with Pedro Neto getting his 1st senior hattrick and Szoboszalai stepping up big time as his suspension got cut down to 1 game following his red card against Manchester City Some other topics discussed include Arsenal dropping points to Brentford; Spurs sacking Frank; Forest sacking Sean Dyche. Guests: Raj and Chinmay

#38: GW 25 Review: Manchester City beat Liverpool at Anfield; Palmer Hattrick
We record a weekly episode discussing the Liverpool and Chelsea games at Anfield and Molineux where Liverpool lost the game with a few controversial ref calls despite a peach of a knuckleball penalty yet again at Anfield by Szoboszalai. We discuss why the red card is so detrimental to Liverpool's Top 4 and FA Cup ambitions. For the Chelsea game, we finally saw the yearly Palmer 1st half hattrick as he becomes the first player in Premier League to have 3 of them. We also discuss the poor 2nd half and Chinmay shares his worries about Delap and Garnacho and why Santos and Caicedo are so important in games Chelsea seems bad Guests: Chinmay, Sanket and Raj

Akshat is Mancunian who lives and breathes everything Manchester United having met Amorim, Wilcox and other key figures in United's staff. Akshat and Sanket share their views on why Carrick can't be a long term appointment especially if the options post 2026 summer include Tuchel, Nagelsmann and Enrique. Finally we also discuss some trivia questions to get some zinger takes from Akshat. Guests: Akshat Arora (ig: akshat18arora) Hosts: Raj and Sanket

#36: PL GW 24 Review; Chelsea fail to turn the EFL Semis around; United vs Spurs preview
We discuss the crazy scenes at Old Trafford and Stamford Bridge as Chelsea and Manchester United both manage to turn the game in the last minutes. We discuss how brilliantly Bruno created the chance at the end. We also discuss how Rosenior seems to always get his subs right as Chelsea completed a full comeback from being 0-2 down at HT. We discuss how Fofana, Cucurella and JP all got their goal contribution from the bench. Finally we discuss how Liverpool get a rarely emphatic win at Anfield as they thrashed Newcastle with a Ekitike brace and an amazing performance by the likes of Macallister, Szoboszalai and Wirtz. They also capped it up with a Ibu Konate goal which was celebrated emotionally. We also remunarate on why Chelsea and Arsenal have a big gap between the teams in terms of squad quality and game model. Guests: Chinmay, Raj and Sanket

#35: GW 23: Chelsea win and Liverpool lose in PL; Arsenal lose at Emirates; Final day of the Champions League
We discuss this episode at the precipice of the end of a hard-fought UCL group stage from a Liverpool and Chelsea perspective. We had a crazy PL GW 23 weekend seeing Liverpool losing to B'mouth and Chelsea thrashing a depleted Crystal Palace squad. The highlight was of course Carrick's 3rd game in charge seeing United beat Arsenal at the Emirates. We also discuss the Champions League campaigns for Liverpool and Chelsea where we had Liverpool showing a completely different version in Europe when compared to their domestic form. Chelsea too have managed to clinch some key victories in their campaign beating Barcelona and Napoli on their way. There were a lot of stats and records being broken this weekend. Chelsea being the youngest team to qualify for UCL QF in last 10 years. VVD being the first defender to assist 3 goals, Napoli losing their first game in 20 at home in Europe and of course the highlight which saw the Special one's Benfica clinch the last playoffs spot with a goal by Trubin. Hosts: Raj and Chinmay

#34: GW 22-23: Manchester turns red; Chelsea get a lucky win; Liverpool draws against Burnley
We are getting back to regular weekly episodes; GW 22 kicked off to a surprising thrashing of Man City on their visit to Old Trafford. We discuss the ruthless counter-attacks; dropping Matheus Cunha and the controversial referring calls to disallow Mount's goal and not handing a red card to Dalot. Liverpool unfortunately did concede a single goal after a consistent barrage of attacks against Burnley which only resulted in a goal by Wirtz and an unfortunate penalty miss by Szoboszalai. The draw raises concerns over Liverpool's playing style, OOP intensity and defense. Chelsea won a bogeyman fixture which has resulted in the underdog Brentford often thrashing them at home. Brentford came with the same energy and created 3-4 clear chances but unfortunately the Chelsea net remained untouched due to the heroics of Sanchez and important OOP contributions by Caicedo, Palmer, Enzo and JP. We also discuss the Garnacho brace and Rosenior trying to coach Robert Sanchez into playing a sweeper keeper and if it will lead to some horror moments like the chances conceded against Arsenal. We provide some thoughts on FPL; Bruno is becoming too much of a pick-me at this point and maybe Harry Wilson has had his Christmas spurt of goal contributions finally coming to an end. We also discuss if JP is a good inclusion in an FPL squad. And why Dorgu is a great asset. Hosts: Raj, Sanket and Chinmay

In this episode we evaluate the positions of Chelsea and Liverpool at GW 21. In the short Chelsea section at the start, we discuss the appointment of Rosenior and what Chinmay expects from their new coach, including some eyebrow raising factors like him citing Rooney as his managerial inspiration and how he was a MUFC fan as a kid and how the squad is prepared to take up his football For the LFC section with Ritin and Divya bhai, where we look at Slot's tenure as the Liverpool manager following a historic title win in 2025. We discuss the interesting scenario in which the club lies after a heavy spend in the transfer window and why the football has become so dross. We also discuss some positives about very difficult to beat tactics by Slot in important games and how he has a very solid idea for his football. We also touch on the controversial yellow card to Martinelli for a rough shove to Bradley while he lied clutching his knees. Hosts: Sanket and Chinmay Guests: Divya, Ritin and Yash

#31: United Special #1: Man United knocked out of FA Cup (@feat. akshat18arora)
We are recording this episode on the eve of a historically bad evening for Manchester United as for the first time since 1995-96 Manchester United will only play 40 games, the minimum possible number of games a PL club can play. We are joined by Akshat, a Mancunian and an RCB fan who has attended matches, met Berrarda & Wilcox and is there to share his frustration with the way the club has been ran. He shares his views on Amorim, why was this a bad time for a sack and why the interim choice a forced error due to poor leadership at the board level. We also discuss the fated choice between Carrick and Ole and who out of Enrique, RdZ, Tuchel, Nagelsmann, Ancelotti, Maresca or Pochettino can lead this project after June.

We discuss GW 8 fixtures with Chelsea thrashing Forest despite a scary start getting Ange sacked in a tunnel. Its an interesting question to ponder if Ange should have been hired in the first place and after he was hired, should he have been sacked so brutally, so early? Finally we share our thoughts on Amorim checkmating a very dangerous Liverpool side at Anfield after 9 years. Achieving something that greats like Jose, Ole and Ten Hag all failed to do. We discuss how United caused problems to Liverpool's frail pressing structure, while still conceding a lot of big chances to an often overlooked Cody Gakpo. We also discuss how two mainstays in the United side with Bruno and Maguire combined in a clutch to win United this game We also discuss how in this vein of form Haaland is unstoppable and how players like Gabriel are working to keep Arsenal in the current top spot. CFC Special 1: A 25 year memoir of Chelsea fan; before and after Roman era, UCL win, Blue Co. era
In this Chelsea special, we have Johnny a generational Chelsea fan who has seen Chelsea from the days of Glenn Hoddle and Gianluca Vialli to the modern day being managed by another Italian manager in Enzo Maresca. We admonish the factually wrong statement about Chelsea having no footprint before 2004 and weave our way through key moments in the early 2000s with iconic figures like Jose, Drogba, Di Matteo, JT, Lamps, Hazard, Conte and some notorious ones like Graham Potter. We conclude with our views on the new ownership and how their success rate in scouting good players has increased in tandem with managerial win percentages and players building strong characters and why there is a chance we could surge back to the pinnacle of English football Host: Chinmay Guest: Johnny (@CFCJohnnyB)/X Music by: Raj Editing: Chinmay
