Through Her Eyes: Gena Georgia - Trusting Your Pivots, Trusting Yourself
In this episode of Seasons of You, I’m joined by Gena: creator of Embodied Mantras and founder of GENA GEORGIA, she’s an entrepreneur, Reiki Master and neurospicy mum of four. This is a deeply grounding and honest conversation about burnout, self-trust and what it really means to tend to yourself in the middle of full, modern life. After experiencing burnout from overworking and feeling disconnected from her family, Gena shares how losing her job during COVID became an unexpected turning point and an invitation to explore a new way of living and working. What followed was a journey of experimentation, self-discovery, and ultimately, coming home to herself. We explore the tension many women feel between constantly doing more and the deeper call toward alignment, presence and grounded clarity. Gena speaks to the experience of being pulled in new directions, the desire to create and innovate, and the importance of balancing exploration with mastery. At the heart of this episode is a powerful reframe: “You can’t wait for life to calm down before you tend to yourself — you actually have to tend to yourself and then life calms down.” ~Gena In this conversation, we explore: • Burnout recovery and redefining success as a woman and mother • Following intuitive pivots in business and life, even when they don’t feel logical • The discomfort of slowing down and learning to be with yourself • Grounding practices and nervous system regulation for modern women • How to come back into your body and cultivate embodied awareness • Motherhood, emotional regulation and how your nervous system supports your children • Building an authentic business rooted in connection, community and trust • Letting go of metrics and focusing on meaningful, aligned growth • Developing self-trust, self-worth and discernment in life and business This episode is for women navigating burnout, entrepreneurship, motherhood, or a season of transition, and who feel the quiet call to slow down, reconnect with themselves and build a life that feels deeply aligned. Cycle Musings: The Inner Seasons of Our Menstrual Cycle
In this deeply personal episode of Seasons of You, I share my journey from burnout, overwhelm and disconnection to living in rhythm with my menstrual cycle through cyclical living. For most of my life, I tried to keep up with a fast-paced world that values productivity, consistency and output. Like many women, I pushed through exhaustion, ignored my body’s signals and experienced repeated burnout, anxiety and depletion. Motherhood became a turning point. Faced with the pressure of trying to do it all, I reached a breaking point and began asking a different question: How can I thrive, instead of just survive? This question led me to menstrual cycle awareness and the discovery of the inner seasons of the menstrual cycle — a framework that completely changed the way I understand my energy, emotions and needs as a woman. In this episode, I explore: • My personal journey into cyclical living and burnout recovery • Why women feel pressure to operate at the same energy every day • Understanding feminine energy as cyclical rather than linear • The four inner seasons of the menstrual cycle: inner winter, spring, summer and autumn • How each phase influences your energy, mood, creativity and capacity • The impact of ignoring your cycle (burnout, anxiety, depletion) • The benefits of living in alignment with your hormonal cycle • Simple ways to start tracking your cycle and working with your inner seasons This episode is an invitation to reconnect with your body, understand your menstrual cycle phases and begin living in rhythm with your natural energy. Cyclical living is not a luxury, it is a foundational support for women navigating modern life, motherhood and personal growth. Through Her Eyes: Leanna Hines - Sacred Transitions
In this powerful and heartfelt conversation on Seasons of You - Though Her Eyes, I’m joined by Leanna - a guide who has played a deeply meaningful role in my own journey of self-trust, cyclical living and personal transformation. Leanna shares wisdom drawn from years of guiding women back to themselves, their bodies, their voices and their inner knowing. Together we explore the quiet rebellion that occurs when women begin to listen to themselves in a world that often encourages us to override our instincts and disconnect from our bodies. As Leanna beautifully says in this episode: “Giving ourselves permission to find our voice, and listen to our bodies and ourselves — that is really a quiet rebellion against how our entire world is set up.” In this conversation we talk about: • Why so many women cringe when they’re told to “tune into your body” • How to begin reconnecting with yourself in simple, accessible ways • Cultivating safety within your own body and inner world • Releasing shame and learning to meet yourself with compassion • The importance of being in supportive spaces with other women • How guidance and mentorship can support women in reconnecting with their power I also share my personal experience of working with Leanna during the early years of motherhood — a sacred time of transition that profoundly shaped the path I now walk. Leanna was the woman who unknowingly planted the seed of cyclical living in my life. She helped me nurture it, grow it and move through the many transitions that have followed. This episode is a conversation about remembering who you are, learning to trust your inner wisdom, and reclaiming the quiet power that already lives within you. If you are a woman navigating change, motherhood, self-discovery, or a longing to reconnect with yourself — this episode will meet you exactly where you are. My biggest gratitude to Leanna for sharing her deep wisdom with us here. With love, Sarah All about our guest! Cycle Musings: Honouring your menstrual cycle when life is too hectic to stop
(Apologies for the background noises in the beginning of the episode - this is the first ep recorded while we’re living on the road - my family were outside the caravan & you can also hear the Corellas which were very active where we were staying!). “Honouring your bleeding time in whatever way you can is part of the spiritual practice of menstruation.” — Jane Hardwicke Collings It sounds beautiful in theory. But what does that actually look like in real life? In this episode of Seasons of You, we explore how to honour your menstrual cycle when life doesn’t pause for your bleed. Because while the idea of slowing down during menstruation is often shared in cyclical living spaces, many women are navigating motherhood, work commitments, relationships and responsibilities that don’t simply disappear when their period begins. After inviting my Instagram community to share their questions and experiences, three themes kept appearing again and again: kids, commitments and relationships. Together, we explore how menstrual cycle awareness can become a practical, supportive tool for modern life, rather than an idealistic concept that only works in perfect circumstances. In this episode, we talk about: • Honouring your bleed while parenting and caring for young children • Navigating work, responsibilities and commitments during your menstrual phase • Gentle ways to slow down when life doesn’t allow complete rest • Communicating your needs to partners and the men in your life • Releasing the pressure to “do cyclical living perfectly” • Understanding that every menstrual cycle can feel different We also explore the idea that cyclical awareness is not about rigid rules or expectations, but about meeting yourself with compassion and responding to the season you are in right now. If you’ve ever wondered how to practise menstrual cycle awareness while juggling real life responsibilities, this conversation will offer grounded encouragement and practical reflections. And if this episode resonates with you, Seed is the next step — a gentle space where we explore cyclical living more deeply and learn how to align with your natural rhythms throughout the year. If you want to join the Cozy Cycles Corner, I’d love to have you in that free space where I share weekly cycles guidance on Instagram in a closed channel. If are keen for some integration support working with me 1:1 to personalise the advice I’ve given here in this episode please DM me and we can chat about the options for Germinate - 3 days or 2 weeks of guidance from me. Through Her Eyes: Kelly, Simply Aligned - Rethinking Rest with Human Design
In my first guest episode - Through Her Eyes - I’m joined by the amazing Kelly. We explore rest through the lens of Human Design and how we may need to re-think rest (hint: it’s not just napping). Kell’s journey with Human Design started with a question I’m sure many women have had - “surely there must be more to life than this?”. Through burnout and living a life that didn’t quite feel like hers, she discovered a whole new way of looking at the world and a way to truly understand who she is. “There is this culture of outsourcing our power. Human Design brings you back to you. It reminds us how epic we are.” Kelly This conversation will help you re-consider what rest looks like for you and what your needs are, based on your Human Design. I love the way Kell explains what Human Design is and how we can use it to guide how we make decisions, what action we take and how relate to others. You’ll learn how your energy works and what your energy needs to recharge - not just pushing through and keeping up, but honouring what your body actually needs. We also chat about intuition and deconditioning from what’s been placed on us, or shamed out of us, or doubts we’ve picked up over the years. Let’s now tap back into our bodies, learn more deeply about ourselves and step back into our unique power! I think this conversation is really important and working with our Human Design is honestly life changing. This isn’t about you overhauling your life, but it’s about choosing the one thing you can do to bring this knowledge into your life to help you move out of survival mode and finding more ease. My biggest gratitude to Kell for sharing her energy and wisdom with us here.
