The One with the Comparison on Social Media

Mirror, mirror on the wall, who to compare to, of them all?  In today’s world we are constantly exposed to other people’s lives, routines and opinions. 🔁 Can we recognize how virtual life of other people affects our own real life? 🪞 Influence of social media is present in our real life, whether we are aware of it or not. ✅ In episode “The one with comparison on social media” we discussed about moments when we recongnized that social media were affecting our moods and how are we copying with those.  We discussed about a research that investigated how users of social media behave in their private lives and how are they influenced both in positive  and negative ways according to the content they’re exposed to. The one with studying tips

Hi all! For some of us exam period is already in progress, for others exams are yet to come. 📖 have you thought about is it easier for you to study during sunny days or rainy days? We would love to hear from you, what part of the year is the one where you feel motivated to learn and also when is that you are procrastinating more. 🧠 We discussed what are our stress points and why does stress arise while studying. Perhaps you can relate to our experience, but tell us how you manage stressful days while studying.  What about techniques for studying?  Pomodoro technique seems to work for us and we will leave other helpful tools we use below.👇  https://www.brainscape.com/ - making flashcards for memorizing and reflection on studying https://www.studytogether.com/zoom - zoom for learning with other people https://youtu.be/CQczzQCwheA - study with Hermione Granger https://www.balanceapp.com - balance app that we LOVE for short focus meditation

    The one with Anger Management

In this episode we pose questions about anger, where we firstly try to define what being angry means and why are we being angry at all. 🤯 We agreed that anger comes at us usually when we are feeling a bit under the weather, or when some other emotion hit us. Also, anger is an emotion by itself and we continued to discuss how we usually handle it, how we handle conflicts and when is anger management needed. Of course, had to mention Will Smith and his (non)anger management, for which we believe there were better ways of handling the situation. 🏆 So, another question pops out, what would you do if you were Will Smith for a day when he goes to Oscars? 🌟 Bojana said she would firstly hang out with his daughter and than think about later events. For sure, we agreed and gave our proposals of acting on the host without promoting violence. 😝 Later on we gave some of our favorite tips on handling angry feelings in the moment and also what helps us on the long run to deal with aggression and stress.  Kristina likes to imagine things she's angry about in her punching bag and Jovana sits in front of the fountains in Belgrade, so we won't judge your copying mechanisms. 🤷‍♀️ If you find this episode interesting, let us know and we will discuss about handling conflicts in different types of relationships in our future podcasts. 🥳

    The one with Diet Culture

We started this episode with a new crew member, Jovana. From now on, the trio Bojana, Kristina and Jovana will discuss topics of life habits and well being of young people. In this episode we spoke about dieting, our eating habits, and eating disorders. We shared our experiences with different diets that we tried out and tried to define ‘healthy diet’. How are families reacting when you’re on a diet? We discussed about different perspectives and why it’s important to have support. Who reads food labels for chips? If a shoe doesn’t fit you, you don’t blame your feet, you just go to find one that does. So, when a dress doesn’t fit, why blame your body? You are not meant to “fit into” clothes, clothes are meant to “fit onto” you. What is an eating disorder? Why do we have them? How can we treat them? Young people usually don’t have time or conditions for building heathy eating habits, so we gave you some tips as well. Since we tackled a lot of topics about healthy dieting, feel free write us which topic was the most interesting to you and about which one would you like to know more! Question for all of you: Are you a fanatic who reads food labels? If yes, tell us what are you reading and if not, also let us know why.
