He Gives More Grace
In this episode of She Inspires, we explore what it means to experience grace when circumstances don’t change. Through a personal story and Scripture, we reflect on how surrender creates a shift in our heart posture. When burdens are heavy and weakness feels exposed, God meets us there with sufficient grace and unshakeable strength. This is She Inspires, because when one woman is breathed on by God, she reminds another of who she already is. She is you.Verses ReferencedJames 4:6 – “But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, ‘God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.’”2 Corinthians 12:9 – “But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”Hebrews 4:16 – “Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”Reflective QuestionsQuestion 1:Where in my life am I striving for change when God may be inviting surrender instead?Question 2:What am I carrying right now that I was never meant to carry alone?Question 3:What would it look like to pray, “God, take it all. Have Your way,” and actually mean it?Song Referenced: He Giveth More Grace by Annie Johnson FlintVerse 1He giveth more grace when the burdens grow greater; He sendeth more strength when the labors increase. To added affliction He addeth His mercy;to multiplied trials, His multiplied peace.Refrain:His love has no limit; His grace has no measure. His pow'r has no boundary known unto men.For out of His infinite riches in Jesus,He giveth, and giveth, and giveth again!Verse 2When we have exhausted our store of endurance, when our strength has failed ere the day is half done, when we reach the end of our hoarded resources, our Father’s full giving is only begun.
