In this, the maiden episode of Ship Chat, host Saint interviews Gardenship's resident artist Daniel Breda. Daniel is a Portuguese-American artist-in-residence at Gardenship who creates sculpture and photography, while splitting his time between New York City and the French countryside. In our podcast we talk about his artistic perspective and where he draws inspiration from as he creates large and small scale sculptures, often featuring historical, cultural and religious references, from a variety of materials including iron, aluminum, bronze, concrete and recycled found materials.
