Shoulder Roll Virtual Boxing
by Gregory Abdur-Rasheed
The Shoulder Roll Virtual Boxing podcast is the ultimate what-if show for the boxing enthusiast. It is for someone who sits around with their buddies, wondering what have happened if these two fighters fought in their prime. Could Mike Tyson beat Tyson Fury? Would Floyd Mayweather Jr beat Sugar Ray Leonard? There are so many imaginary matches to create to pit the best against the best of all time in boxing. The Shoulder Roll Virtual Boxing podcast will be your time machine, to create what-if fights. The tool I am using to create these matches is Title Bout 2, the computer simulation created by Jim Trunzo. IMHO he has created the best PC game out there to produce the best results. Obviously, this will not solve the answers of what legendary boxer could beat another legend. But that is not the purpose of this podcast. I want you to sit back and use your imagination. It is all about having fun with a sport I love and know that you love. I encourage you as a listener to send in your sugges

Can Dave Allen survive Filip Hrgovic
On May 16, 2026, the industrial heart of South Yorkshire will pulse with a tension that only heavyweight boxing can generate. At the Eco-Power Stadium in Doncaster, the WBA Continental Gold title will be the formal prize, but the subtext is far more visceral. It is a collision between a clinical assassin and a cult hero—a test of whether the "Sweet Science" can be unraveled by a man who has made a career out of the "Homer Simpson" gambit.Filip Hrgovic, the "Stone Man," is a 2016 Olympic medalist who operates with the cold efficiency of a metronome. In the opposite corner, Dave Allen, the "White Rhino," represents the raw, unpredictable drama of the everyman. To some, this is a homecoming celebration for the most beloved gatekeeper in the British game; to others, it is a mismatch that borders on the macabre.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/shoulder-roll-virtual-boxing--6207307/support.This episode includes AI-generated content. This episode includes AI-generated content.

Who Wins: Wardley or Dubois
In an era defined by protracted negotiations and missed super-fights, the heavyweight collision between Fabio Wardley and Daniel Dubois at Manchester’s Co-op Live Arena on May 9th is a refreshing anomaly. Billed as "Don't Blink," this is a genuine 50/50 clash between two young, hungry heavyweights in their absolute prime. Beyond the gold on the line, this is a psychological case study: a battle between textbook technical efficiency and a man who has made a mockery of the sport by refusing to follow its traditional laws.We are witnessing a rare moment where the "Destined Prodigy" meets the "White-Collar Anomaly." Can the polished fundamentals of a man born for the ring overcome the sheer, unadulterated grit of a fighter who was working in HR just a few years ago?Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/shoulder-roll-virtual-boxing--6207307/support.This episode includes AI-generated content.

We are all training AI
We have all been there: a sudden interruption in your digital workflow. Before you can log into your bank or secure a concert ticket, a small, clinical box demands a proof of soul. You squint at grain-heavy grids, hunting for traffic lights or crosswalks, or you transcribe smudged, ink-warped characters. To the average user, this is a minor friction point—a digital toll paid for security. In reality, these "Turing tests" represent one of the most complex adversarial struggles in computer science and the foundation of a massive, covert labor market. The CAPTCHA (Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart) has shifted from a security barrier into a global computational factory where billions of "users" are actually unwitting employees.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/shoulder-roll-virtual-boxing--6207307/support.This episode includes AI-generated content.

David Benavidez Challenges Unified Champion Zurdo Ramirez
On May 2nd, the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas will not just host a title fight; it will serve as the site of a cultural and physical transgression. For decades, Cinco de Mayo weekend was the sovereign territory of legends like Julio César Chávez and Oscar De La Hoya, and more recently, the private estate of Canelo Alvarez. But as the "Mexican Monster" David Benavidez prepares to meet the unified WBA and WBO Cruiserweight Champion Gilberto "Zurdo" Ramirez, he isn't just chasing belts. He is purposefully hijacking Canelo’s weekend to stage a hostile takeover of the "Face of Boxing" mantle.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/shoulder-roll-virtual-boxing--6207307/support.This episode includes AI-generated content.

Denver Broncos 2026 draft
Broncos Country Reimagined: Comprehensive Analysis of the 2026 Draft ClassStrategic Overview: Navigating a Draft Without Early CapitalThe 2026 NFL Draft forced the Denver Broncos into a masterclass of roster architecture. Without the luxury of first or second-round picks—assets surrendered in the blockbuster acquisition of Jaylen Waddle—General Manager George Paton and Head Coach Sean Payton treated the board with surgical intent. While the casual observer might lament the lack of Day 1 action, the front office viewed Waddle as the "effective" first-round cornerstone of this class. The strategic mandate was clear: leverage mid-round trades to maximize "dart throws" and build a floor of high-character, technically sound contributors. The overarching philosophy of this cycle marks a definitive shift toward makeup, leadership, and positional versatility. By selecting seven players with collegiate captaincy on their resumes, the Broncos have effectively infused the locker room with "Green Dot" intelligence. This draft wasn't about gambling on raw traits; it was about securing the "right" people—specifically those with the physicality and mental acuity to thrive in Sean Payton’s demanding system. This structural overhaul began where all great rosters are built: deep in the trenches.Bolstering the Interior: Tyler Onyedum (Round 3, Pick 66)With the departure of John Franklin-Myers (JFM) in free agency, the defensive interior was left with a production vacuum. The selection of Tyler Onyedum wasn't just a need-based move; he was one of the “six players George Paton identified” as a priority for this cycle. Onyedum is a hybrid interior defender with an Iowa State pedigree, having been teammates with current Bronco Enyi Uwazurike before transferring to Texas A&M to prove his mettle against SEC competition.MetricCollegiate Profile (Texas A&M / Iowa State)Height6'3"Weight292 lbsProduction8.5 Tackles for Loss (TFLs); 17 PressuresExperience23-Year-Old Fifth-Year SeniorThe Strategic "So What?": Scout the tape and you see an explosive athlete who plays with an “insanely high motor.” His versatility is his greatest asset; he has the frame and twitch to align as a 1-tech or 5-tech, providing the rotational flexibility the Broncos lost with JFM. While he is a "developmental" prospect in terms of refined pass-rush moves, his "fifth-year senior" status gives him the physical maturity to contribute immediately as a run-stuffer behind veterans like DJ Jones. He represents the first pillar of the trench-first mentality, a philosophy that was mirrored by the team’s next selection on the offensive line. The "Three-Headed Monster": Jonah Coleman (Round 4, Pick 108)The vulnerability of the Broncos' backfield became a glaring issue following JK Dobbins’ injury history. To stabilize the offense, Denver secured Jonah Coleman—a player many analysts consider the “bouncer of the club” for his violent running style. Interestingly, Coleman’s reliability as an “underrated receiver” stems from his background as a wide receiver in high school, a detail that makes him a perfect match for Payton’s vision of a multi-dimensional backfield.Elite Differentiators:Efficiency: Coleman generated a first down or touchdown on 35% of his runs, leading the entire 2026 class.Contact Balance: A staggering 71% of his yards were gained after contact.Versatility: He boasts a 12.4 YAC average and possesses what scouts call “left tackle technique” in pass protection.Comparing Coleman to historical archetypes like CJ Anderson, Mark Ingram, or a healthy JK Dobbins, it is clear the Broncos sought a "thumper" to keep the offense “ahead of the sticks.” Coleman himself believes his arrival completes a “three-headed monster” in the backfield. His ability to stonewall blitzers in protection will be vital in “protecting Bo Nix,” ensuring the young quarterback has a clean pocket on crucial third downs.Versatility Up Front: Cage Casey (Round 4, Pick 111)Drafting a tackle is a rare occurrence for Denver—Casey is the first selected since Garrett Bolles in 2017. A versatile "swing" lineman from Boise State, Casey follows the lineage of former Broncos great Matt Paradis. He is a "warrior" who spent his collegiate career at left tackle, notably helping pave the way for star back “Ashton Jeanty to become the kind of player he was.”Casey’s 2024 season was a masterclass in technical consistency, logging 947 snaps with zero sacks allowed. While his technique and hand usage are NFL-ready, scouts noted he must improve his core strength to anchor against elite pro power.Strategic Impact Casey’s value lies in his positional flexibility. Having “bumped into center” at times, he provides insurance across the entire line. His 1% penalty rate addresses a specific team discipline need, fitting the profile of a high-IQ player who doesn't beat himself. The Tight End Revolution: Justin Jolie (Rd 5) and Don Bentley (Rd 7)To provide Bo Nix with reliable safety valves, the Broncos doubled down on the tight end position. This "F" vs "Y" dual-investment effectively overhauls the room, directly challenging incumbents like Nate Adkins and Lucas Krull.FeatureJustin Jolie (The "F")Don Bentley (The "Y")PedigreeUConn (Jim Mora) to NC StateUtah (Older Prospect - 25.3 yrs)Reliability2% drop rate; 1,100 career yards0% drop rate; Elite inline blockerTraitNatural receiving tight end"Mini Travis Kelce" frameOutlookPotential to replace Lucas KrullThe “Vice President of Mr. Irrelevant”Jolie is a fluid athlete with “elite body control” and soft hands, making him a candidate to eventually replace Evan Engram. Bentley, the second-to-last pick in the draft, earned the title of “Vice President of Mr. Irrelevant” but plays with a veteran maturity. He “blocks his butt off” and provides the physical "Y" presence needed for heavy personnel groupings.Secondary and Special Teams Depth: Miles Scott (Round 7, Pick 255)The modern NFL values the "receiver-to-safety" convert for their innate understanding of passing lanes. Miles Scott fits this mold perfectly. A former wideout turned two-time team captain at Illinois, Scott is a "raw but ready" prospect who already possesses the physicality and ball skills (seven career interceptions) to compete at the NFL level. His 88.4 run-defense grade is elite for a converted player, and his “experience as a route runner helps him sort, key, and drive on throws in coverage.” While he projects as a special teams standout initially, his anticipation and instincts suggest he could develop into a high-quality depth safety who understands exactly how to jump a receiver's route.Mr. Irrelevant? The Case for Red Murdoch (Round 7, Pick 257)Despite the "Mr. Irrelevant" moniker, history suggests Red Murdoch is a lock for the roster. George Paton has drafted two previous final picks, both of whom made the team. Murdoch is a statistical freak from Buffalo who recorded a staggering 142 tackles in a single season.Murdoch has a “doctorate in one element of linebacker play”: the forced fumble. He set an NCAA record with 17 career forced fumbles, using a "Peanut Punch" style that makes him a defensive weapon. While scouts label him as slightly undersized or stiff, his “nose for the ball” and “relentless motor” make him a prototypical Sean Payton linebacker. He was a “hot pick” that multiple teams attempted to trade for, signaling his league-wide value as a high-intensity playmaker. The UDFA "Cherry on Top": Torian YorkThe signing of Texas A&M linebacker Torian York is widely viewed as the "A-grade" sealer for this class. Often called the “Elvis Dumervil of inside linebackers,” York is an absolute playmaker who fell in the draft only due to his 5'11" frame.York’s resume is “staggering”: he received captaincy votes as an 18-year-old freshman in the SEC and maintained a 90.8 coverage grade. He is a "Green Dot" leader with elite intelligence, anticipation, and a 90.8 coverage grade.Roster Projection: Both York and Murdoch are high-probability candidates to make the final 53-man roster. Their playmaker instincts and "Green Dot" intelligence fit the exact makeup the Broncos prioritized. By adding seven captains and a wealth of high-character leaders, the Broncos have ensured that the 2026 class will leave a lasting footprint on the franchise’s culture, regardless of where they were selected.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/shoulder-roll-virtual-boxing--6207307/support.This episode includes AI-generated content.

The battle over boxing with the Muhammad Ali Act
The halls of the Russell Senate Office Building transformed into a championship venue this Wednesday as the Senate Commerce Committee convened to debate the future of federal boxing law. In a departure from standard legislative decorum, Chairman Ted Cruz (R-TX) replaced his gavel with a ringside bell, introducing a panel of industry heavyweights with the cadence and flair of a professional ring announcer. The ring bell was a gimmick, but the $375 million antitrust settlement looming over TKO Group—the parent company of the UFC and the primary engine behind this legislation—is anything but. The hearing laid bare a fundamental clash over the "Muhammad Ali American Boxing Revival Act" (H.R. 4624). At stake is the soul of the sport: will boxing maintain its traditional, decentralized model, or will it transition toward a centralized "Unified Boxing Organization" (UBO) framework? This is a battle to decide if the sport is due for a "revitalization" or if this is the corporate knockout of the independent fighter.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/shoulder-roll-virtual-boxing--6207307/support.This episode includes AI-generated content.

Can Junto Nakatani Dethrone Naoya Inoue
The electric tension radiating from the Tokyo Dome is palpable, a heavy, static hum that has gripped Japan since this fight was announced. On May 2, 2026, the "Big Egg" will play host to 55,000 fans—a total sell-out achieved a full month before the first bell. With a get-in price of $110 and a broadcast reaching 116 cinemas across the country, the magnitude of the event is unparalleled. It is a moment of cultural gravity that the "sweet science" rarely touches. To understand the scale, one must look at the ghosts of the venue. For decades, the Tokyo Dome’s boxing legacy was defined by a single, seismic shock: Mike Tyson’s 1990 collapse at the hands of Buster Douglas. It took thirty-four years and the rise of Naoya "The Monster" Inoue to reopen those gates, first for his 2024 demolition of Luis Nery, and now for this. This isn't just a title defense; it is a national standstill. The curiosity driving this frenzy is simple yet profound: Has the sport finally produced a fighter capable of solving the Inoue puzzle? Inoue enters at 32-0 with 27 knockouts, a two-weight undisputed king who has turned elite competition into a series of highlight reels. But in Junto Nakatani, he faces a man who isn't just a challenger, but a stylistic mirror—an undefeated 32-0 force with 24 knockouts of his own, carrying a nickname, "The Big Bang," that promises a similar level of destruction.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/shoulder-roll-virtual-boxing--6207307/support.This episode includes AI-generated content.

How Miguel Canto Won Without Power
Inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 1998, Miguel Canto finally received the global recognition that traditionalists had long denied him. He and the other "Mayan Warriors" of Mérida redefined the "art" of boxing, proving that a fight could be won with the mind rather than just the fists. They left behind a legacy that transcends the violence of the sport—a testament to the power of discipline, finesse, and the quiet intelligence of the peninsula.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/shoulder-roll-virtual-boxing--6207307/support.This episode includes AI-generated content.

Why baseball lost its Black players
The exodus of Black America from baseball was not an accident; it was the result of a complex web of economic barriers, a "hostile" integration model, and a widening cultural disconnect. However, the current resurgence suggests that the bond is not broken—it is simply being rebuilt with modern tools. The future of the sport hinges on a singular question: Can a game so deeply rooted in the "way things used to be" evolve to embrace the beats, swagger, and identity of the next generation? Baseball's survival in the city depends on proving that the diamond is a place where players are invited not just to play, but to be themselves.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/shoulder-roll-virtual-boxing--6207307/support.

Government Conspiracy to Kill Martin Luther King
On the evening of April 4, 1968, moments before a sniper’s bullet shattered the peace of the Lorraine Motel, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. leaned over the balcony to speak with musician Ben Branch. His final request was simple and soulful: "Ben, make sure you play 'Take My Hand, Precious Lord' in the meeting tonight. Play it real pretty."Seconds later, the "Apostle of Nonviolence" was gone. While the world remembers the tragedy and the subsequent conviction of James Earl Ray, the official "Lone Nut" narrative has long been scrutinized by those of us who investigate the intersection of power and civil rights. The story taught in history books is merely a sanitized version of a far more disturbing reality—a reality currently locked away in classified archives not scheduled for public declassification until 2027. To understand why the King family and many investigative historians remain skeptical of the official record, we must look at the clinical evidence of a life under siege and the legal vindication that the mainstream media often ignores.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/shoulder-roll-virtual-boxing--6207307/support.This episode includes AI-generated content.

Chisora vs Wilder: Who Wins
On April 4, London’s O2 Arena will hold the heavy silence of a gallows and the electric charge of a final stand. There is a haunting historical symmetry to this evening: both Derek Chisora and Deontay Wilder enter the ring for their 50th professional outing. In the cruel arithmetic of the heavyweight division, the number 50 usually signals a destination rather than a milestone. For these two weathered titans, this is a do-or-die crossroads where the "do" leads to one final, improbable hunt for a world title, and the "die" leads directly into the quiet of retirement. Moses on the Rise
On March 28, 2026, at the Co-op Live Arena in Manchester, England, Moses Itauma delivered a stunning performance by knocking out seasoned American heavyweight Jermaine Franklin in the fifth round. The 21-year-old British prospect, fighting southpaw, dominated from the opening bell and showcased his full arsenal—mixing sharp jabs, body shots, and precise power punches—while Franklin, a durable veteran with prior close losses to Anthony Joshua and Dillian Whyte, struggled to mount any significant offense. Itauma dropped Franklin in the third round and continued to break him down with superior speed, footwork, and technique. The fight ended dramatically midway through round five when Itauma landed a crushing left uppercut at close range, sending Franklin collapsing face-first to the canvas. The referee immediately waved off the contest at 1:32 of the round, awarding Itauma a technical knockout victory. This marked the first time anyone had stopped Franklin inside the distance. The win improved Itauma’s professional record to 14-0 with 12 knockouts, including his 10th consecutive stoppage, and further cemented his status as one of the brightest young talents in the heavyweight division. Many observers hailed the knockout—particularly the precise uppercut—as a potential “Knockout of the Year” candidate, while promoter Frank Warren and others suggested the performance positioned Itauma for a world title shot later in 2026. It was a statement performance that answered questions about Itauma’s ability to handle experienced opposition and go deeper into fights when needed.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/shoulder-roll-virtual-boxing--6207307/support.This episode includes AI-generated content.

One Time vs Towering Inferno
The air in Las Vegas usually smells of oxygen and desperation, but the build-up to March 28 carries a distinct scent of absurdity. At the MGM Grand, 6’6” champion Sebastian Fundora defends his WBC title against Keith Thurman—a 37-year-old former king who has been a ghost in the division, fighting just twice in five years. The physical disparity is so comical that Thurman famously stood on a chair during the Los Angeles press conference just to look his opponent in the eye. It is a matchup that shouldn't exist by any sporting metric, yet in the "no rules" reality of the Sweet Science, name value and narrative often outweigh activity. This isn't just a fight; it’s a collision between a physical anomaly and a veteran's last-gasp gamble. We are about to witness whether the "Towering Inferno" can incinerate a legend, or if "One Time" has one more masterclass hidden in his weathered gloves.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/shoulder-roll-virtual-boxing--6207307/support.This episode includes AI-generated content.

UFOs in Control?
The architecture of the Cold War was built upon a terrifyingly simple premise: Mutually Assured Destruction (MAD). For decades, global stability rested on the absolute certainty that the nuclear "Fail-Safe"—the complex web of electronic shields, triple-redundant protocols, and hardened silos—was impenetrable. To be a missileer was to live in a state of suspended existential dread, waiting for a launch order that would signal the end of the world, while trusting entirely in the sovereignty of the machine.Yet, a growing body of declassified reports and veteran testimonies suggests that this sovereignty was an illusion. While the public imagination was fed a diet of "little green men" and pulp sci-fi, those stationed in the underground launch capsules were confronting a much more grounded, and far more unsettling, reality. They were witnessing unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP) that did not merely observe our nuclear arsenal but actively manipulated it, bypassing the most sophisticated electronic defenses on Earth with a clinical, terrifying impunity.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/shoulder-roll-virtual-boxing--6207307/support.

The First AI War
The war in Iran has revealed a growing rift between Silicon Valley and the state. While companies like Anthropic have attempted to set ethical "red lines" regarding autonomous lethality—resulting in them being designated a "supply chain risk" and excluded from contracts—others, like Sam Altman of OpenAI, have "rushed in" to fill the vacuum. This race to the bottom suggests that ethics are being treated as an obstacle to be bypassed by the highest bidder. In January 2026, the Department of War released its "AI Warfare Fighter Strategy," making "maximum lethality" official doctrine. We are now standing at the threshold of a future where swarms of cheap drones autonomously hunt individuals based on statistical likelihoods. The question we must face is no longer whether we can automate war, but whether we can survive the loss of the human "friction" that once kept our most violent impulses in check. pongsaklek
To the casual Western observer, the names that define the "sweet science" are often draped in the Stars and Stripes or the Mexican Tricolor. We speak of Oscar De La Hoya’s charisma or Bernard Hopkins’ longevity with practiced ease. Yet, in the 112-pound division—a weight class where technical purity and blistering speed often surpass the lumbering spectacles of the heavyweights—there exists a Thai legend whose statistical dominance dwarfs most modern icons. His name is Pongsaklek Wonjongkam, and he is the greatest fighter you have likely never heard of.Despite a resume that rivals the historical invincibility of Carlos Monzon or Julio Cesar Chavez Sr., Wonjongkam remains an outlier in the American-centric consciousness. He is a "lock" for the International Boxing Hall of Fame (IBHOF) in theory, but in practice, he remains a ghost outside the hallowed halls of Canastota. This disconnect is not a failure of his talent, but a symptom of a "geographical bias" that treats the elite of the East as if they were fighting in a different, lesser dimension.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/shoulder-roll-virtual-boxing--6207307/support.This episode includes AI-generated content.

Stidham to replace Nix
The Broncos are turning to Jarrett Stidham because "Stiddy’s ready." From a strategic standpoint, continuity in Payton’s complex system is more valuable than any veteran's pedigree. Stidham is one of only two backups this season to record a 300-yard passing game, and he has been immersed in this flow for months. The game plan against the Patriots or Texans won’t be a radical departure; it will be a distillation. Payton will aim to keep Stidham in a rhythm, allowing the "complete team" to absorb the shock of Nix’s absence.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/shoulder-roll-virtual-boxing--6207307/support.This episode includes AI-generated content.

ABOUT THIS SHOW
The Shoulder Roll Virtual Boxing podcast is the ultimate what-if show for the boxing enthusiast.
