Deputy and Cap. The Ones That Stick
This episode, Deputy and Cap take the time to reflect on medical calls that they had early in their careers, that really stuck with them. PFAS And The Return of Chief
We sit down with Chief once again for a talk about PFAS and how he successfully switched all of his members to "Clean" Turnout Gear. We touch on some of the health effects and the road blocks he faced the last couple years.Perfluoroalkyl or Polyfluoroalkyl substances, a group of chemicals that have properties that allow them to repel water, dirt, and oil and is known as a forever chemical. This week Deputy has a surprise topic for Cap; has she found it to be difficult being a woman in the service? We start off with talking a little about Cap's workplace and then turn to the fire service. While some of the answers may have been a little softer than what Deputy was expecting he left feeling a bit better that Cap hasn't had to experience some of the horrific situations we fully acknowledge other woman have to overcome.
