Sipping With The Slayer

Husband was all about episode 8 this week as he wanted more of the Ripper background, he loves it when Willow gets sassy and is a little happier this time that time Angel does something!Wifey was very surprised he did not recognize the guest star of episode 7 (Jason Behr)

**trigger warning** this episode talks about SAThis week Husband gets very opinionated on hazing and fraternities while Wifey gets a bit honest about another moment in her past. Angel disappoints Husband once again with his lack of heroics and Wifey can't help but agree. There is a reason she's not Team Angel after all. Husband finally meets "Ripper".

Spike is here! Wifey couldn't wait for this weeks episode as it is one of her favourites. It did set off more questions for Husband as Angel's history now becomes a little more intertwined with new characters. Wifey wasn't expecting Husband to like ep4 as it is Xander heavy so we did get a little sidetracked by Clint Eastwood and Graham Greene (or was it Tom Green, maybe Seth Green.)

We're back! After a 2 week delay due to a horrible computer death our files have been recovered.Husband is still a massive Giles fan and a big Xander/Cordelia hater though he did admit, if Cordelia has to die, at the hands of ep2 mad scientists was not how he wanted it to happen. Wifey was happy to hear he was looking forward to watching this season and is getting a big kick over how confident he is in some of the story lines. He thinks he knows so much!

We have reached the first season finale! At this point I believe Husband has a bit of a man crush on Giles, he still cannot stand Xander but I have hope that Cordelia will grow on him next season. He rates how he feels about the season in total and talks about where he hopes the story lines will go.

This week we had two Monster of the Week type episodes which aren't Husbands favourites, but he once again enjoys Xander's one liners even though he tries to deny it. We compare yearbook memories and Wifey preps Husband for the first season finale.

This week Wifey admits to several humiliating things from her past as we discuss naive chat room behaviour and school variety shows. Husband is introduced to the gorgeous Miss Jenny Calendar and adds puppets to his extreme dislike of gnomes and nutcrackers.

This week Wifey spends a fair amount of time defending Cordelia and we realize that Husband can tolerate Xander when he's possessed. We get on quite the tangent rating our favourite Rambo movies as Husband thinks this is the last time we'll see actress Julie Benz.

This week Husband learned there are magics besides vampires in the Buffy-verse, he gets overly focused on comparing it to the movie and we may have to rate "Teachers Pet" as his least favourite episode of the season. I keep promising it's worth it!

We have started our Buffy journey. Husband quickly becomes one of the biggest Xander haters I know but is immediately a Giles fan. I don't have him hooked yet but he is willing to continue.Hopefully our audio improves as we get better at this.
