Listening to everything from R&B to country,Smash developed an eclectic musical taste that has influenced his own work.As a teen, Smash was inspired to get into music by a young friend who did an amazing rapperformance at church. Smash figured if the boy could do it, so could he. He was also inspiredby Kanye West’s sophomore album, Late Registration, which he credits as helping himappreciate hip hop on another level. From there, the budding artist began developing his ownrhymes and skills as more than just a hobby.Since then, Smash has released three solo projects: FNAO (Failure’s Not An Option) in 2009,Bear Fruit in 2013, and his most recent EP, Stashed Away, in March 2018.
