THEY WERE TALKING THEIR SH*T | Exploring on the internet

BLESSINGS  … IT'S A CELEBRATION Episode 10 This week’s episode of So, I Came Across this Post, is officially our 10th episode of Season 1 and so I wanted to shake things up! Here is a roundup of posts I came across this week that spoke to some part of me. In this episode, I am doing a screen recording of me viewing the post and my reaction/inspired thoughts to it. I’d say the content of this episode contains some inspiration. Some personal stories. And soul food;  to nourish the seeds within us. May you enjoy it! *THIS IS THE AUDIO VERSION* Additional details on our website, under EPISODES!

SELF HONESTY | Getting out of the state of denial

BLESSINGS  … This week’s episode of So, I Came Across this Post, is inspired by a Post on Instagram, via @Evercoach, with speaker: Vasavi Kuma, with the user name @MyNameIsVasavi In this episode, I share how being honest with myself has opened up my world and my experience. There are levels to being honest with yourself and between 2022- 2023, I have been taken on a deep journey. In the episode I share some benefits of being honest with yourself… specifically, what I have discovered through my experience. I then share tips and ideas that can help with enhancing our practice of self-honesty, such as Journaling, Practicing Self-Forgiveness, and Considering Other Perspectives, and others. Being able to be YOU unapologetic is very freeing. Recognizing where you are being nourished and where you may be being drained can make all the difference in your experience.  I will talk about this.  I talk about living in your truth and accepting yourself unapologetically. Even the parts of you, you’re not satisfied with. Being able to acknowledge them and be at peace with their presence, makes a ton of difference. And I also talk about this book, The Mountain is You, that helped me turn around my life during 2023!

DON’T BE AFRAID TO BE ‘WRONG!’

This week’s episode is inspired by a Post on X (formerly Twitter), from Divine Conscious @DivineHeart369.   In this episode, I share how my awakening journey has helped me to develop a practice of acceptance.  Through the practice of acceptance, I have been able to experience a consistent state of peace and flow. This episode consists of me sharing about 3 of my specific practice areas for acceptance and 6 Perspectives. May we be reminded that in our human experience, we will fail short. We may “fail.” We will be wrong. We are fallible.  And regardless of the highs and lows of our human experience; You are still YOU. I am still Me!  May you journey with love, acceptance, kindness, and peace. Love you. Love us.

DWI WITH DEATH | ‘Enough prison time?’

This week’s inspired content (this episode) is the result of my watching BodyCam footage from Law & Crime’s YouTube channel, showing the aftermath of a deadly drunken crash that killed a 16-year-old in Texas, in June 2021.  While watching the video, I started to look at the comments and was taken aback by some of the commenters' reactions regarding the 15-year sentencing of 22-year-old Jesus Cruz.  In this episode, I review some of the comments and give my perspective. Also, explore the sentencing and my thoughts on it; how much time is enough time?  At the end of it all… I concluded that how much time is enough time…depends. I also noticed that I may be more focused on rehabilitation than punishment.  Join me this week as we consider POVs and sentencing, and give honorary mentions for some comments.

    HONORING YOURSELF DAILY

HONOR THYSELF! This season of life has been very much giving “I AM COMMITTED TO ME” and it’s been a season of considering new ways of honoring our truest Self.  In this week’s episode, the inspired content is inspirational and personal. The first two pieces of content come from a carousel Instagram post, and the last one I feel really can be a container for the first two posts…. Topic One inspiration comes from HumbleThePoet and the video talks about how he does not have expectations of how people treat him, but he creates boundaries that help him decide what he is and is not available for when it comes to how people treat him and handle him. Topic two is from ImanSamone and she talks about being okay with being the villain in other people’s stories. The last piece of content is from Sister Carol and talks about going inside ourselves and connecting with the answers and truth within each of us. Topic #1 [05:56 ]Topic #2 [ 27:40 ] Topic #3 [01:20:46]

FREE TO CHOOSE | Not free from the consequences

BLESSINGS Friends, Family, everything in between… Welcome back or Welcome To -- So, I Came Across This Post!  This week’s episode is about CHOICES!  We are free to choose, but not free from the consequences of those choices. Last year… this concept leveled up in my life. I was reminded that each of us gets to make decisions, and what may be correct for one person, may not be correct for me… but that does not, in and of itself make it a right or wrong decision; It just is!  In this episode, we review 4 posts: 1 tweet from X and 3 videos from YouTube, which I share snippets of. The YouTube content is focused on traffic stops and people’s behavior during them, and some of the consequences of such behavior. Though it is not up to us what another deems acceptable behavior… I am often quite curious about what people’s goals are with some of the choices they make. LOL. One choice can change the trajectory of your life, but that doesn't mean your life has to be over. Tune into this episode, and let me know your thoughts.

Who We Used to Be | LETTING GO OF IDENTITIES With Guest Shandy Love

BLESSINGS Friends, Family, everything in between… Welcome back! This is the 1st Episode of Our Segment, Who We Used To Be.   Who We Used to Be is a segment of the podcast where we engage in in-person conversations about the integration of past aspects of ourselves.  I believe that every season of our lives has a purpose, and so here… we talk about that. Kind-of… the message in some of the madness… and even the joy! Today's guest is our good Aries Sun Soul Friend, Shandy Love. Shandy is a Spiritual and Self-Mastery Coach @theperfectaligne. She is also the facilitator and founder of the Mirror Magic Movement. In addition, she vlogs (@IAMSHANDYLOVE) and shares weekly messages (SHANDYLOVESPEAK) on Youtube. During our conversation, Shandy and I discussed our experience with feeling uncomfortable in our bodies, and with ourselves. We also discuss what it was like growing up “sensitive.” These are our personal experiences and how we can see these experiences reflected in how we show up in the world, and what we are passionate about. For example, Shandy’s experience with body dysmorphia led her to Mirror Magic, and she now facilitates in-person classes; guiding individuals to engage in mirror magic to encourage and support body appreciation, self-confidence, authentic self-expression, and more.  My favorite moment from our conversation is when we realize and acknowledge where it all started with us judging and picking at our bodies. And even at how we see ourselves… which lens were we seeing ourselves through? This serves as a powerful reminder to take inventory of who you say you are, what you say you are, and what it’s rooted in. Is that your TRUTH, at this moment? Or are you holding on to a story that you no longer resonate with?

IT’S YOUR WORLD, FRIEND | You Do You.

BLESSINGS Friends, Family, everything in between… This is one of 3 episodes that is being released during our official Season Start. I wanted to give a taste of different content. Every episode I try to choose posts that I think will flow well together. This episode's content is a bit light-hearted, in my opinion, and focuses on our right to choose, be, and do… in ways that are aligned for us, as an individual. We may not all agree that it’s acceptable, but it’s your world honey… YOU DO YOU! SHOW NOTES WILL BE AVAILABLE ON THE PODCAST'S WEBSITE @ www.soicameacrossthispost.com

I THINK WE HAVE A SOCIETAL ISSUE | Let’s Talk About Sex

BLESSINGS Friends, Family, everything in between…. BEFORE I go any further… DISCLAIMER ** I want to put you on notice that this episode does contain a sensitive topic.  We will listen to mentions and things regarding newborns being harmed, and in one instance, alleged to have been murdered (hopefully you’ll understand why I said alleged, later). I will not be going into the full details of the case but there will be some audio shared that speaks of the case… In this episode, we are exploring and asking questions related to WHY WE DON’T TALK ABOUT SEX CASUALLY and how that may be negatively impacting us as a society. There are two criminal cases that I will discuss where 2 19-year-old young ladies from New Mexico have decided to place their newborn babies in the garbage.  YUP, BOTH OF THEM.  And Get this …. One of these young ladies was in the HOSPITAL when she did it. Both of these young ladies seem to have been scared, and so I am curious as to why! When did the fear kick in? Why didn't they feel safe to confide in someone about their situation? What were they afraid of? What was the plan or goal? And why are people LYING about having SEX? There are levels to this discussion, and I believe I may only be scratching the surface… but nonetheless… I am willing to get the discussion started! Originally I titled this, America We Have A Problem. However, I did not want to add this to another LONG LIST of issues that we never get to... www.soicameacrossthispost.com

BE TRUE TO YOU | Let the chips fall where they may!

Friends, Family, everything in between…. It’s HERE! It is officially here… So, I Came Across this Post, Season 1 of the podcast is officially ACTIVATED!!! In this episode we have three pieces of social media content with the common theme of BEING AUTHENTICALLY YOU and accepting that in expressing authentically, some people won’t be able to take it… but that does not mean you are wrong. In honoring our truth, and expressing that, we allow the correct people for us to connect with us, and we weave out the ones who do not.   As humans, it is natural for us to desire connection. It is natural for some people to be afraid of rejection. However, when you experience the release of a connection or the rejection you once feared, you realize that there is truly nothing to fear at all. Yes, breakups and endings may be painful, but they are often a necessary part of your experience and evolution. SHOW NOTES WILL BE AVAILABLE ON WEBSITE @ www.soicameacrossthispost.com
