To Moot or Not to Moot

What if your strong personal views were the root cause of your difficulties making the right timing for the necessary leap over the hurdle of conflict resolution? Practice with sessions that give that real simulation to life situations can help improve the way you factor timing and other essentials into the art of mediation.

  2. 12

Evaluating New Case Files and the First Mediation Session

The fears of mediation do not always lie with conflicting parties. New Mediators can sometime experience the fear of the very first leap into the profession.

  3. 11

Mediation: A Season of Moving Forward

The fear and uncertainty can be the biggest roadblocks of conflict resolution. Common issues can be ignored if the people do not take that leap in seeking help from a professional who can offer the right guidance.

  4. 10

    The Value of Compromise

The sight of disconnected communities drives me to circle back down the lane of my first opportunity of mending relations in between the divided. I have mended relations under many and very different hats!

  5. 9

Compromise: Meeting with Silver, Not Holding Gold or Bronze

What if the focus for sole control of the golden prize was breaking the mutual relations and the connection of reaching a fair goal, at least halfway with the opponent to share the pleasures of silver treasures together? As mentioned, the halfway mark of conflict resolution requires cooperation.

  6. 8

    The Enlightenments of Change

What if the negative focus on the subject matter of the conflict was breaking the stride to success? Successful mediation requires parties to work together on forming a positive outcome together. As parties reach the top of the bridge of conflict, the final stretch is not always at fast pace. Equal opportunity from standing at the bridge together should open equal opportunity to glimpse of the possible enlightenments of change.

  7. 7

    Battles of Imbalanced Conflicts

Question, does the weight of the battle one party contributes tilt and imbalanced scale? Conflict(s) may cause the feeling as if the weight of one party bare in the battle tilts to one side. The burdens of conflict may simulate a feeling that feels as if the weight possessed by one side of the conflict dips below the degree of fairness.

  8. 6

The Magic of a Systematic Flow

What if every person with conflict feared the approach of conflict resolution because of the very thing behind the fear was what is needed to bring out balance of all sides of the conversation? Using a systematic flow can improve the quality of the conversation. That is why today, I hope to help you stay focused and not fear the use of a systematic flow in your mediation sessions.

Mediation: A Fight to Balance Uncertainty

Many people believe that reaching a resolution is totally dependent on working only with professionals in the courtroom. In fact, there are other alternatives available, such as Mediation. Mediation, as I mentioned in previous episodes, is designed to help individuals, groups, or companies as an alternative dispute resolution service to assist in conflict resolution outside of court. Mediation is one option available for conflicting parties to utilize when they desire privacy, a sense of balanced control in the input of intervention formation, and need flexible assistance that can adjust to each party’s availability.

Today, let’s redirect our attention to the next topic, Walking in Faith: A Step Closer Across the Bridge Towards Conflict Resolution. This week’s episode, Walking in Faith: A Step Closer Across the Bridge Towards Conflict Resolution, is designed to help people with conflicts take that second step. I hope that after listening to today’s podcast, someone is empowered to continue forward.Being in the presence of others with conflict always reminds me of my first step across the bridge alone. In fact, it circles me back with a reflection of looking in the mirror of the past and seeing my very own feet planted on the first steps of the bridge, standing alone before resolving. That reflection in the mirror reminds me of the insight into how it feels to stand alone at the bottom of the bridge. It drives my desire to be a good Mediator and do the right thing in life by empowering others to face conflict with balance and fairness, that second step towards resolution.I see many people of different cultural backgrounds and professions with different daily problems. The way individuals face issues in the world has evolved with time. There is a push for Mediators to become more aware of the trends of the various cultures and professions of society, since world problems have changed.Credits:Sanders, S. PhD. Failures of Grace of Mediation

Failures of Grace of MediationGood morning! This is Dr. Sanders. Thanks for joining me here. You are tuned into Soft Power, Hard Peace!I hope you are all doing well and staying safe out there as you commute and go throughout your day! Thanks for waking up with me this morning! I am thankful for your time and connection!I discussed Benefits of Mediation and Taming the Fears of Mediation in the previous weeks. It was beneficial for those two topics to be discussed to help people in conflict to be aware of the available alternative dispute resolution interventions. I hope that helped. There will be more to come.In this episode, I hope to reach conflicting individuals out there who still need that motivation. Fair and balanced mediation has the potential of success when the right Mediator is selected to deliver the most appropriate and effective communication between parties with no puppet strings attached! It is necessary to be able to maintain neutrality in mediation by being able to dive in and brainstorm issues from a holistic point of view.Conflicts that surface with the conversation of resolution may show signs of distasteful pressures of mediation. Not all mediation sessions will result in resolution. It takes an honest Mediator not to avoid speaking on the cons or distasteful pressures of conflict resolution.Negative outcomes of mediation are possible. Let’s not wipe that off the slate! It can happen!Final decisions of mediation are dependent on how the conflicting parties can work together and agree! I mentioned this in previous episodes. Fair mediation sessions holistically exploit the low instances of conflicts that remain unresolved. It is a good time to now shift gears and talk briefly about Failures of Graceful Taste of Mediation; this balances the conversation.Mediators with a holistic view can exploit the low instances of conflicts not being able to be resolved through mediation. I know it may seem strange, but I get the question all the time, Dr. Sanders, how can you believe in one thing and tell people another? How can you function as a Mediator when you have certain beliefs? When I enter the demand for squash conflict in mediation, I accept the challenge of not falling into jumping into arbitration. It is intriguing to have the challenge, but at the same time, I find most passion from life in balancing things out by implying my sharpest skills, which are helping others analyze and brainstorm ways for implementing improvement. If you like listening to today’s program, please tune in to next week’s show.
