Eddie Gilbert, the son of former Memphis and SECW star Tommy Gilbert was only in the promotion for a few months, but those few months brought considerable change. Eddie Gilbert was not only booked as the top heel for the CWF but along with Paul E. Dangerously (Paul Heyman) they booked the territory as well leading to the disastrous Road to Birmingham tournament.
