But it’s his vinyl-only imprint, Light Touches Records, that’s been turning heads—flipping forgotten gems and dusty disco cuts into dancefloor weapons. Now ten releases deep, and trust, he’s got more heat stashed away. Andrea’s sound has taken him far and wide—from Corsica Studios in London to Bonobo in Tokyo, Backwards in Ireland, and beyond. In an already declining traditional commerce where brick & mortar stores face sky high rent hikes, it’s becoming increasingly challenging to simply make a living as a music retailer, however, this particular store has withstood the test of time. With some perseverance, a vigorous dedication to hospitality, and intriguing selections, Rare Groove has become part of the record pilgrimage route for vinyl lovers visiting Japan.
