In this episode Adele speaks with Wadawurrung woman, Stephanie Skinner, a linguist and who has helped bring back the Wadawurrung language to her mob.Listen how language is so much more than just words and how it establishes a whole culture and mobs' way of life that has since been lost through colonisation.

Our identity is interwoven with our sense of belonging, our sense of place and who we are in the world.Adele lives in Victoria and is a proud Ewamian / Jirrbal woman who's mob is in far north Queensland. In the first episode of Speak Easy, Adele speaks with her mother, a white English / Irish woman about her sense of identity whilst living with mob up north & the differences between the two women's journey in relation to finding identity.
