    ‘Fundraisers Unite’

    This Week Anna and I chat with Stacey KirkpatrickStacey lost her dear mum Gerry back in 2005 and as you will hear in this weeks episode its as still as raw and upsetting as it was 21 years ago.In this weeks episode we talk about Stacey’s mums MND journey, loss, and the years that followed, with Stacey taking on numerous challenges raising awareness and funds for MND Scotland and the MNDA, we also talk about Stacey’s career as an estate agent to moving in to the charity sector.In the past 12 month Stacey followed her heart after volunteering for the MNDA Manchester branch for a number of years, after leaving her role at another charity, Stacey now works for the MND Association as a area fundraiser, helping individuals on their own fundraising journey.Thank you for listening, see you next time for the final episode of season oneAnna & Martyn

    'Turning Grief into Impact'

    This weeks Episode, Martyn and I chat with Lynn, A truly inspiring women who Martyn and I have had the pleasure to know on our own personal MND journey, and someone who we call a dear friend.Lynn openly talks about the darkest of days, from her beloved Mel's MND diagnosis, Losing her soulmate Mel, but how this anger has fuelled her to drive and determination to help others 'Her MND family' to one day find treatment and a cure.This episode is a honest, raw and open conversation but left us feeling uplifted and it's comforting knowing that there are amazing individuals like lynn fighting for us.Again, plenty of tears and plenty of laughter Thank you Lynn Anna and Martyn

    Welcome to the ‘The Midnight Debrief’A new kind of episode featuring a new Host, Steph Williams, the midnight debrief spin off series focuses on the role of caring alongside MND,Like myself Steph is a ‘carer’ Steph cares for her husband Mark, she is a Mum, Wife, MND advocate supporting families through Steph and Mark’s foundation the MNDefiance Trust.Steph and I have become close friends as we navigate this ‘Shit Show’ of a Journey that is MND, during this time Steph and I often message each other at all hours, normally around midnight, discussing our day or what tomorrow will hold in store, so we thought, lets take these to the podcast.We will be talking all things caring, parenting, friends and family, Holidays, MND Community, finances, relationships and intimacy.We will be talking about some very serious topics, but what I can guarantee is that you will be laughing alongside us and the occasional tear.We would love to have you involved in our conversation so please ask any questions and will will be sure to talk about these on the podcast.Steph and I look forward to sharing more of our journey, stories, our successes and absolutely our mistakes or Fuck up’s as we like to call them A warning…there will be some explicit language used during the episodes.Thank you Steph & Martyn
