SARA'S SPECIAL "RUST BELT ROYALTY" IS OUT NOW EVERYWHERE GO WATCH IT!!!!!!!!Because of upcoming schedules and overall lack of time together, the girls announce that starting in September, the podcast will be going from weekly to monthly. It will still be great and focused on more positive catch ups than day to day happenings. We also cover releasing a special, what that means for material after, inbreeding, the lottery, being a self made hillbilly, rearranging the house, changes to come and public meltdowns.

Sara decided on a random Tuesday that what she needed in her life was a mini Cooper from a man off Facebook marketplace. The girls dive deep into every aspect of this dangerous interaction and how they really shouldn't live together because any normal person would've asked at least one question.

OH MY GOD WERE BACK AGAIN!!!! Mary went to see Backstreet Boys at The Sphere in Las Vegas and it was one of the best weekends of her life! The girls talk about spending time with childhood friends as adults, how women are always teenagers when they get together (no matter their actual age), gambling for fun, Vegas actually being a good experience, sexual awakenings, and gambling parents being disappointed in you. Sara recaps her visit with her toxic ex and how he feels like home, but how that's not necessarily a good thing.

How many times can you go back to an ex before you realize it's just toxic and not meant to be? Well for Sara, that number is 5. or 6. She's lost count. Is she making excuses? Is this a terrible idea? The girls cover everything about toxic relationships as well as 35yr olds bringing back trends, Mary wanting to leave NYC to be closer to family, deviled eggs, the "red string theory" and Chloe makes a guest appearance on this week's episode.

In an unprecedented change of events, Mary isn't crying this week and Sara is actually the one opening up and being vulnerable after spending a weekend with her estranged siblings! The girls get deep about living through family members addiction, watching the people you love go in and out of jail, and trying to rebuild relationships that are seemingly lost. They cover toxic relationships, poor people habits, unnecessary loyalties, how cool recovery is and overall family trauma.

The girls went to a fancy, expensive, "hot people" gym and recount just exactly how Sara finally earned some respect from Mary. It only took a year and a half of living together and 5 months of podcasting, but this is a new peak in their relationship! They talk about being treated better when you have money, locker room rules around naked people, a hot woman stand off in the sauna, Mary's bad habit of correcting people, joining the Army and an Uber Share nightmare.

As always, Sara is following the latest beauty trends and got a salmon sperm facial and it dominates the conversation in this week's episode of Special Friends Podcast. Mary is rightfully confused, and learns more about salmon c*m than anyone should know. Mary goes engagement ring shopping alone, they talk diner breakfasts, brown uncle coffee shops and the 4 C's of blood diamonds vs. "farm raised" (lab grown) ones.

On this week's episode, Mary and Sara break down everything they've read and watched lately including, "The Substance" movie, the books, "Creedence" and "Pretty Girls" and also talk in depth about how Mary loves a well written drama that makes her cry, but Sara feels more connected to reality TV stars.

Sometimes things don't go as planned and this episode is a perfect example of that. Mary and Sara recorded an entire hour episode catching up from their weekends and as soon as the cameras went off, Sara launched an entire spiritual vs. technology debate on the couch, so the girls turned everything back on and give you this. What side do you fall on?

This episode starts hot with a fight between Mary and Sara because Mary is convinced Sara is trying to sabotage her "one big break." Mary is in the process of applying for a TV project and while they seem interested, Mary has already dreamed up every possible scenario. Turns out, Sara does the same thing, but when it comes to love and relationships. They talk about how you should like your partner, dating nice guys, and Sara's scandalous return to the dating scene.

All of the cliff hangers from last week are answered! This episode is a deep dive on the modern art installation that Sara was preparing for (with a broken toe) in our last episode. Mary holds nothing back with criticisms of modern art in general and also catches us up on her trip to Miami and first in person call back for an acting gig.

In what is their most confrontational moment yet, this episode does not disappoint. Mary has severe allergies and is about to leave for Miami, Sara has a broken toe and Mary is certain she's not going to take care of it and push herself beyond limits for an upcoming gig. There's love, anger, yelling, apologies, screams, laughs, sarcasm, feet, and a little bit of learning about huffing gas along the way.

In this episode Mary and Sara are talking all things side pieces. While neither condone cheating, both have found themselves as "the other woman." Sara's story of a homeless dad is much more tame to Mary's story of getting caught in the act and her entire life derailing from one night with a man. Sara is back from the desert and man, did she have a TIME! She was sent to Coachella last minute on a brand deal, and Mary is here to analyze and poke fun at the entire experience, which happens to be one of the best of Sara's life.
