    Episode #8 Canine Water Safety and Sports with Rhonda Danyluk

    Extreme heat has affected much of Western North America since late June, and we are still seeing temperatures over 30 degrees.  Thoughts of swimming, boating and stand up paddle boarding with our dogs have never been more prevalent.  Sporty Pups talks with Canine Fitness and SUP Trainer Rhonda Danyluk about what we need to know, and what we can do with our pups at home, before heading to the nearest body of water.

    Episode #7 Competitive Agility Updates for Summer 2021

    SPP is joined by two well known Canadian agility competitors for a look at the state of things in 2021.  AB Regional representative Meaghan O'Neill gives us the organizational run down on what is and what isn't happening in the summer/fall of 2021 (as it stands now).   Then Anneli Hilton joins us, specifically to chat about WAO height changes, and the conversation evolves into training and having a special relationship with your dogs.

    We are recording the fifth episode of the Sporty Pups Podcast during a minus thirty cold snap in the midst of a pandemic.  Humans and canines alike are quite housebound, providing the perfect opportunity to do some conditioning  with your dog!  SPP speaks with Bonnie Sales of ABCanine Fitness about the importance of keeping our canine partners in the best shape possible, for their longevity, enjoyment and well being in all dog sports.

    After a short hiatus we are back with a new episode talking about dog sports in Canada! This episode features Seanna O'Neill of Dynamo Dogsports, a recognized competitor, instructor and judge in national and international dog agility.  We talk about the past, present and future of this fast-paced sport, which continues to explode in popularity.

    Our third podcast looks at dog sport opportunities happening now, both virtual and live.We speak with Debbie DaCosta about the sport of Rally Obedience and the exciting, new trialing option offered by CARO.  We also speak with Michelle Eadie of Prairie Dogs Sports.  Michelle shares with us information about the many activities that have resumed at her facility, including the first ever NADD Canadian Regionals in October of 2020.
