Square Halo 05: Edward Knippers
Edward Knippers holds an MFA from the University of Tennessee, has been a fellow at S. W. Hayter’s Atelier 17 in Paris, worked with Zao Wou-ki in painting and with Otto Eglau in printmaking at the International Summer Academy of the Fine Arts in Salzburg, Austria, and has studied the figure at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, Philadelphia, and the Grande Chaumiere, Paris. Knippers’ work has been featured in many publications including: LIFE, Christianity Today, The Critic, The Washington Post, and Image Journal. He has also been featured in numerous books from Square Halo, including It Was Good: Making Art to the Glory of God, Revealed: A Storybook Bible for Grown-Ups, Intruding Upon the Timeless: Meditations on Art, Faith and Mystery, The Beginning: A Second Look at the First Sin, Faith + Vision: Twenty-Five Years of Christians in the Visual Arts, Objects of Grace: Conversations on Creativity and Faith, and The Art of Edward Knippers: Prints and Drawings. In this episode Ed and Leslie discuss his contributions to several of our books.
