In part two of our Open-Source episode I interview Skot9000 the lead developer on the Bitaxe project. We learn about the history of FOSS and the reason why its not only important but also necessary in order to develop and grow projects outside of an echo chamber. Skot also explains why he decided to open-source the bitaxe project and how that has helped the project grow exponentially. Lets talk about Hashrate Heating! Hashrate Heating is the process of using a bitcoin miner to provide much needed heat in and around your home, business and life. There are many applications where low grade comfort heat is needed and bitcoin miners can fill that role perfectly. In this episode I try to go into as much detail as possible and explain why hashrate heating matters and what the point is behind installing a bitcoin miner as a heater in your home or business. I also discuss some of the applications where heat from a bitcoin miner can be introduced.
