Marriage - Learning to Forgive
In marriage, you have to give a little and expect a little. No one is perfect, and we can not go into a relationship thinking we will change the other person. The only person you can change is yourself, which is one thing you need to remember in a relationship. Today we talked about our relationship. We have been together a long time and have been through most trials that a relationship will face, and we made it through to the other side. We talk about everything from arguing about what food we are going to eat to infidelity. We are not scared to share the bumps, bruises, and skeletons, along with all of the good.

The Standing Stronger Podcast was first launched in 2014 and has since garnered over 1 million downloads and has been listened to across the world. The show started as we navigated through the murky waters of mental health and then began to morph into a show about success in life, marriage, and business.Then, as it tends to happen, life got in the way, and we took a hiatus. We are beyond blessed to announce that we were able to grow our businesses, our life, and our marriage during that hiatus. We are excited to bring the show back and look forward to sharing the journey with you every Monday.

Expectations - A Recipe for Disappointment
You can not expect people to live up to your expectations of them, they can only live their best life, even if you think they can do better.If you expect someone to act a certain way or respond in a certain way, you are setting yourself up for disappointment; you can only accept who they are and be ok with the decisions they make, even if you think they are wrong.That does not mean you need to tolerate the behavior. If they are someone, you should not be around you need to cut ties. But you can not expect them to change.

As we grow up, our dreams get crushed. It may be because you realize that you are 5'2" and not really the best fit in the NBA, or because someone said you were not good enough.We dare to dream as kids and as our hopes and dreams get crushed by life, we stop dreaming all together. Welcome Back- Season 1 was about anxiety, depression, suicide attempt, child abuse, brain surgery, dad passing, and knowing that you are not alone. The struggles are real and we did our best to bring hope to the hopeless and have healing for ourselves during that time.Nowwwww we are on to the next chapter. We are thriving, happy, struggling, broken at times but better together. We are here in Season 2 to continue bringing hope and to bring laughter in our everyday lives and to help our listeners understand that we all have trials or struggles but those things do not define us!

SS 005 My Story of Panic Attacks
This Is My Story of PanicIt all started one night while I was alone in our tiny two bedroom townhouse. My wife had just had brain surgery and was suffering with a seizure disorder and short-term memory loss. My father had just passed away and I was in the midst of building a successful business.I will never forget that initial feeling. It started with clammy hands and quickly led to a light head. All of a sudden I started getting short of breath and my heart started pounding.I had no clue what was going on or what was happening with my body. It scared the living daylights out of me. So, I did the only thing I knew would help…I went out to smoke a cigarette.That might sound crazy, but in that time period of my life smoking was my crutch. I am blessed to say that I have not smoked in almost 7 years, but at that time I needed it.After lighting up I quickly realized that the cigarette was not helping the matter.
