Conversations and banter between two unlikely friends who realized a common path through running. Julie and Neely decided to stop saying NEVER and let running change their fitness, family and futures forever. They established a grassroots running club in their small town. What started with four runners, has grown to a thriving running community of hundreds of runners from all ages and paces. Through many miles ran together, we have learned a thing or two.     The Mental Battle : 4 P's to battling the FIGHT

    We can't eliminate the day in and day out stressors. But we do have a few tips on recognizing them and how they affect your progress as a runner! We have four topics for you to consider when you might be struggling. Perception, Pace, People and Peace! We hope you take a minute to listen and that it help you avoid the fight!

    In running much like life, we often time have interuptions of progress. We are hoping to share with you some tips on navigating the inevitable rather it be injury, season of life or just simply burnout. A few reflections on the power of consistency and how to make it work in your favor. All this to continue to encourage you to never lose the JOY of running.

    "Race Day Ready"

    Julie and Neely have a recap of Houston Marathon 2024 and then pour into what it takes to be "race day ready". We've all had a first race. Taking a big step into the half marathon or marathon distance is a huge decision. We still don't take for granted the steps that may seem unimportant that can truly make or break your experience.     Bingo to Lingo

    Today we will dive into to the heart of Stephenville Running Club. Our monthly bingo has kept runners hyped up and motivated and also helps grow our community of runners. Well now that we have a healthy growing community of runners we want to talk about the lingo of running. All things "runnery" can be super intimidating. (it's a new word but I think you understand where I am coming from) We will just scratch the surface of training terms the we have learned more about as we navigate this running journey!     Motivation vs Discipline - Building the mindset of a marathoner at any distance.

    In episode 3 we dive into the reality of Motivation. How to get it, keep it and what comes next. We tap into the advice from a few runners from our club. We love hearing what motivation looks like for them and also visit with Ultra Marathoner Jason Huffman. His insight to what keeps him moving is powerful and encouraging. We hope our take on Motivation in running with get you started or keep you going to strive for new goals.

    One of the most important additions to your training schedule. It is often overlooked by many and can be the reason many experience burn out. We will share some of our strategies of keeping FUN in your RUN!

    "Just Start". Conversations on Community and Consistency.

    Both Neely and Julie came to running late in life. Two average amateur runners decided they love motivating and encouraging others almost as much as they love their own running successes. Much like their advice to others that are interested in running, they took their own advice and "just started". The idea of two unlikely friends that came together to organize an amazing running community and now sharing their conversations and growth with all things running.
